Find out who gets accepted as Cho Yihyun, Kim Jaewon and four other hopefuls confront each other’s lies and face off in their Final Interview.
Mystery thriller Final Interview hits South Korean theaters on November 4 after premiering in the Busan International Film Fest last October 7. The film was part of the Korean Cinema Today – Panorama section and features a cast of up and coming young actors.
What is Final Interview all about?
The film is an adaptation of the Japanese novel Roku Nin no Usotskina Daigakusei (literal translation: Six Lying College Students) by Asakura Akinari, which has already been adapted into a movie in its original Japanese.
The Korean version has its main characters battling for a spot in a global IT company called Spiralinks, known for its cutthroat competition rate of 5000:1. For their final interview, the six applicants are asked to debate on who deserves to get accepted into the company. They are given six envelopes with their names on them, each containing secrets and controversies that will throw suspicion and discord onto the group.
Final Interview Cast and Where You’ve Seen Them Before
Cho Yihyun (Hospital Playlist, All Of Us Are Dead) and Kim Jaewon (Yumi’s Cells Season 3) lead the cast as the observant Moon Hyein and idealist Han Jinwoo, respectively.
The rest of the cast are equally familiar faces, with Shin Seungho (Alchemy of Souls, D.P., Weak Hero Class 1) as the proactive leader Baek Seungbin.
Meanwhile, Kang You-seok (Resident Playlist) plays mediator Lee Hwichan and Kwak Dongyeon (Queen of Tears) as strategist Jeon Yohan. Perfectionist Cha Joo-in rounds out the final six, played by Bae Ganghee.
While there isn’t any news yet of a global release, expectations are high with this promising lineup and gripping storyline.
