If Wishes Could Kill (formerly titled Wish Your Death) is an upcoming Netflix Original young adult horror K-drama. Park Youn Seo, known for Kingdom, directs the series. Furthermore, CJ ENM Studios and Kairos Makers produce it.
The story takes place at Seorin High School. A group of five friends discovers a mysterious app called Girigo. It grants any wish. However, it also carries a deadly curse. Anyone who uses it dies without warning.

As the friends dig deeper, they uncover disturbing truths. Moreover, fear and suspicion spread among them. Each wish demands a price. In addition, escaping the curse may require a sacrifice none of them can afford.
As the app’s secrets slowly come to light, the five friends face a sudden shift in their everyday lives. Furthermore, they witness the curse of Girigo firsthand. They try to escape it by deleting the app and resetting their phones. However, nothing changes. The curse continues to tighten its grip, pushing them closer to the edge.

In addition, Ha-joon’s older sister, Ha Sal, enters the story. She works as a shaman alongside her assistant, Bang Wool. Together, they try to break the curse tied to Girigo. Moreover, they conduct rituals and investigate in the field to trace its origin.
Cast, Release Date, Where to Watch, and Other Details
Jeon So-young plays Yoo Se-a, a promising track athlete at Seorin High who becomes determined to uncover the secrets of the wish-granting app. Furthermore, Kang Mi-na portrays Im Na-ri, a popular girl admired for her idol-like looks who does not believe in the app’s ominous reputation.

Baek Sun-ho takes on the role of Kim Geon-u, Se-a’s secret boyfriend who struggles with her growing obsession with the app. In addition, Hyun Woo-seok plays Kang Ha-jun, the analytical mind of the group who uses his coding skills to decode the app’s mysteries.
Moreover, Lee Hyo-je portrays Hyeong Uk, a mischievous prankster whose life changes after he makes a wish on the app. Jeon So-nee appears as Ha Sal, Kang Ha-joon’s sister in a supporting role. Roh Jae-won plays Bang Wool, a shaman who helps investigate and confront the curse behind the app.
The series consists of eight episodes. Furthermore, Netflix will release all episodes at once on April 22.
