A Father’s Promise in Agent Kim Reactivated Episode 3

Agent Kim Reactivated episode 3 opens with a flashback set five months earlier. At school, Min-ji’s friend asks to borrow her phone because the teachers have confiscated hers.

Later, Min-ji prepares a meal for Mr. Kim and offers to help with household chores. Mr. Kim quickly realizes that she wants something in return. As expected, Min-ji asks for a new phone, but he refuses. Frustrated, she heads to her room without finishing the conversation.

That night, however, Min-ji discovers a brand-new phone and a heart-shaped keychain waiting on her desk. Despite his earlier refusal, Mr. Kim quietly grants her wish.

The story then returns to the present at the police station. Mr. Kim answers a phone call from Min-ji’s number, but no one speaks on the other end. Moments later, the caller switches off the phone, leaving him without any new leads.

Meanwhile, South Korea’s Special Missions Directorate continues monitoring Mr. Kim. However, the agents struggle to track him because he still uses an old mobile phone. They also receive an alert after someone attempts to access Agent Kim’s confidential records at Hwasin Police Station.

At the same time, Mr. Kim’s colleague Sang-a and the laundromat owner each receive unexpected phone calls. Both quietly leave without explaining where they are going. Elsewhere, Hye-ri refuses to leave her room after the recent events. Her father grows concerned and orders his secretary to investigate the situation. The investigation soon uncovers a possible lead connected to a man named Sung Min-ho.

The Search for Min-ji Continues

Meanwhile, the younger brother of Codename 66 breaks into Mr. Kim’s house. Inside, he encounters Min-ji and Park Jin-cheol. A fierce fight erupts and spreads throughout the house before the new 66 escapes. Jin-cheol immediately chases after him.

Unknown to both men, the laundromat owner has been hiding behind a curtain the entire time. He secretly reports the confrontation to the head of the intelligence agency.

The intelligence agency soon tracks Mr. Kim’s location to Han-su’s taekwondo center. Han-su, a former Olympian, once worked alongside Mr. Kim and Park Jin-cheol on covert missions in North Korea. After arriving, Mr. Kim asks Han-su to open their old bunker so they can search for Min-ji. Before they can begin, the intelligence agency director arrives and takes one of Han-su’s students hostage.

As soon as the student escapes to safety, Mr. Kim and Han-su confront the agents. They fight their way out of the taekwondo center before escaping by car. The pair reaches the bunker and begins tracing Min-ji’s phone. Meanwhile, Jin-cheol gathers a group of retired Marines before calling Mr. Kim to report the break-in at his house.

Soon after, the phone trace produces a location in Gyeonggi-do. Without wasting time, Mr. Kim and Han-su head there in hopes of finding Min-ji. Elsewhere, Mr. Ju’s secretary visits Sung Min-ho. He questions Min-ho about Mr. Kim before offering him hush money. However, acting on Mr. Ju’s orders, the secretary later kills him.

At the same time, the new Codename 66 arrives at Min-ji’s school. He notices a student being bullied and questions the group about Min-ji, but no one responds.

The victim eventually tries to answer, but the bullies interrupt, leading to another violent fight. Afterward, the frightened student tells 66 to find Kang Hye-ryeong. He explains that she can locate Min-ji through the “Find Friends” app on her phone.

Meanwhile, an agent from the Special Missions Directorate questions Min-ji’s homeroom teacher about both Min-ji and Mr. Kim. Shortly after, 66 finds Hye-ryeong in the school infirmary and forces her to help with the search.

Elsewhere in Agent Kim Reactivated episode 3, Mr. Ju meets Assemblyman Kang to discuss an upcoming trade agreement between South and North Korea. After the meeting concludes, Mr. Ju receives another update regarding Min-ji’s disappearance and Mr. Kim’s movements.

The Scam Operation in Agent Kim Reactivated Episode 3

Mr. Kim and Han-su arrive at the traced location and discover a building filled with thugs. One gangster attempts to intimidate them, but Mr. Kim quickly puts him in his place by forcefully pulling out his hair.

While Han-su takes on the group outside, Mr. Kim heads deeper into the building to confront the man in charge. Before long, the boss receives a warning about the intruders. Mr. Kim immediately notices Min-ji’s heart-shaped keychain sticking out of the man’s shirt pocket.

As Mr. Kim moves upstairs, he uncovers an illegal scam operation where criminals deceive victims through online catfishing schemes. After spotting Min-ji’s keychain, he launches an attack on the gang members inside. At the same time, Han-su defeats the remaining thugs downstairs.

The boss tries to provoke Mr. Kim by falsely claiming that he spent the previous night with Min-ji. The cruel remark briefly shakes Mr. Kim, but he quickly regains control and brutally beats the man. Only then does the boss admit that he never met Min-ji.

Instead, he explains that he found her phone through a homeless man at Hwasin Station. The accidental phone call Mr. Kim received earlier had come from that same man.

Mr. Kim’s Realization

The boss also reveals that he read Min-ji’s messages with Hye-ryeong. From those conversations, Mr. Kim realizes that his daughter often felt lonely and believed Hye-ryeong had only been using her.

The discovery leaves Mr. Kim filled with regret as he realizes he failed to notice how isolated Min-ji had become. Just as Mr. Kim and Han-su prepare to leave, the new Codename 66 suddenly appears and points a gun directly at Mr. Kim. The episode ends on this tense cliffhanger.

The epilogue shifts the story back to 2006. A South Korean soldier secretly encourages Mr. Kim to defect and join the South. The flashback also reveals the first meeting between Mr. Kim and Park Jin-cheol. Jin-cheol challenges him to fight without holding back if he wants to survive.

However, Mr. Kim calmly replies that he has no desire to live and continues only because of a promise he made to a friend. The epilogue concludes with him introducing himself as Number 73 before correcting himself and revealing his true codename—Number 66.

Agent Kim Reactivated episode 3 keeps the momentum going with an engaging mix of action, suspense, and emotional moments.
