The Script enter a new era with The User’s Guide to Being Human, celebrating connection, resilience, and a massive 2027 Asia tour.

The Script open a new chapter with their latest studio album, The User’s Guide to Being Human. The record arrives after the devastating loss of bandmate Mark Sheehan, who died in 2023. Rather than dwell solely on grief, the band turns toward the experiences that connect people: love, friendship, community, forgiveness, and resilience.

The Script

The album reflects on what it means to remain human in an increasingly digital world. The Script explore emotional connection at a time when artificial intelligence and virtual experiences continue to reshape everyday life. Throughout the record, Danny O’Donoghue and the band focus on feelings that technology cannot easily replicate.

One of the album’s most poignant tracks, “Grow Old with Grace,” embraces the beauty of aging and lasting relationships. The song reflects on legacy, commitment, and the people who remain beside us through different stages of life. It also mirrors The Script’s relationship with their fans, many of whom have followed the band for nearly three decades.

The Script Set Their Sights on Asia

The band will return to Asia in 2027 following the enormous success of their 2025 Satellites tour. Every Southeast Asian stop on that run sold out, highlighting the region’s enduring connection with the band.

Manila has delivered an especially strong response. The first two shows, scheduled for March 18 and 19, 2027, sold out quickly. The Script have now added a third Manila date on March 20. All three concerts will take place at Mall of Asia Arena.

The response builds on the band’s 2025 Southeast Asian run. The Script sold out shows in Singapore, Malaysia, the Philippines, Indonesia, and Thailand, further cementing their popularity across the region.

The 2027 tour therefore arrives with significant momentum. Asia remains one of The Script’s strongest markets, while the Manila sellout highlights the extraordinary loyalty of their Filipino audience.

A Record Built Around Human Connection

The Script recorded The User’s Guide to Being Human in Topanga Canyon, Los Angeles. They worked with longtime collaborators Andrew Frampton, Steve Kipner, and Jimbo Barry, who have contributed to some of the band’s biggest songs.

The Script

Danny O’Donoghue channels deeply personal emotions throughout the project. Meanwhile, Sheehan’s influence remains part of the album’s emotional landscape. Tracks such as “Stars Align” and “After We’re Gone” carry the spirit of the band’s late guitarist and longtime collaborator.

The album also examines forgiveness and second chances. Its lead single, “Man in the Arena,” earned A-list status on Radio 2, while “The Crowd Was Singing Wonderwall” draws inspiration from the Oasis Live ’25 reunion. The latter quickly became a fan favorite.

Together, these songs reinforce the album’s central message. The Script celebrate the complicated emotions that shape a human life, from grief and forgiveness to love and belonging.

With The User’s Guide to Being Human, The Script transform loss into a celebration of connection. Their upcoming Asian tour will extend that message to audiences who have continued to stand beside them through every chapter.
