Rex Orange County shares “Hannah Montana,” the third single from Dream Fatigue, an upcoming album exploring love, identity, and creative collaboration.
Multi-platinum singer-songwriter Rex Orange County releases “Hannah Montana,” the third single from his upcoming album Dream Fatigue, arriving November 6. The new track features Swedish composer and producer Simon Hessman, known for his work with Yung Lean and 21 Savage.

Directed by Rhys Scarabosio, the accompanying music video follows Rex as he finds peace among the horses and landscapes of Montana. Meanwhile, the song explores longing and the lingering emotions of an unresolved relationship.
Dream Fatigue Embraces Collaboration and Reinvention
The upcoming album features the previously released tracks “Grandma Song” and “Indecision,” featuring Daniel Caesar. Mustafa and Dylan Wiggins, whose credits include Rosalía and Justin Bieber, serve as co-executive producers. The project also includes contributions from Turnstile’s Brendan Yates, Dev Hynes, Daniel Caesar, Mustafa, dexter in the newsagent, and Jockstrap’s Taylor Skye.
Moving beyond autobiography, Dream Fatigue follows a protagonist who adopts different identities to win the heart of someone he loves. Playful titles such as “Hannah Montana,” “Iron Man,” and “Elvis” reflect this pursuit. “This guy is tired of dreaming and becoming all these people in the pursuit of that dream,” Rex explains.
Furthermore, the album marks a shift toward collaboration for the British artist. “To let people in is to let them take the thing out of you as well,” he says, describing how working with others has strengthened his music.
Rex Orange County Connects With Fans Worldwide
Rex has recently shared the new material through several live appearances. He performed “Elvis” with Brendan Yates at London’s Village Underground before appearing at All Points East. He also joined Ravyn Lenae for “Love Me Not” and Tyler, The Creator for “Boredom.” Later, Daniel Caesar welcomed him onstage at his sold-out O2 Arena show to perform “Indecision.”
In addition, Rex held intimate fan house shows across the UK, Ireland, and Southeast Asia. Fans selected their own setlists, while the performances generated excitement across Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Manila, and Jakarta. He also headlined LaLaLa Festival in Manila and Jakarta.
Southeast Asia remains an important market for Rex, with Indonesia, the Philippines, and Malaysia ranking among his biggest global markets. Through Dream Fatigue, he brings his collaborative experiences and personal songwriting together, placing his music at the center of the album.
