Rakuten Viki, the global streaming platform for Asian entertainment, celebrates Pride Month with two new Boys’ Love (BL) series, Love Class 3 and The Lie We Lived In. The titles stream now across the Americas, Europe, Oceania, the Middle East, India, and Southeast Asia, including the Philippines and Thailand. The releases highlight Viki’s continued expansion of inclusive storytelling.
Love Class 3 in Rakuten Viki
Love Class 3 continues the popular Korean campus romance franchise. The series follows aspiring idols who chase careers in the entertainment industry while balancing friendship, ambition, and romance. Furthermore, it builds on strong viewer response from the first two seasons and growing popularity in regions such as Japan.
The story centers on Hyun Jae, played by Sae Byeol, and Soo An, played by Seo Yi-han. Hyun Jae debuts after a survival show competition. Soo An takes a different path. Years later, the two reconnect through a professional project. They must then confront unresolved feelings in an industry that closely monitors personal relationships.
Moreover, Love Class 3 reflects the influence of K-pop culture across Southeast Asia. The series explores identity, ambition, and emotional growth through young performers navigating fame. It also marks a major milestone as the first Korean BL drama to launch simultaneously in more than 190 countries worldwide.
The cast strengthens the show’s regional appeal. Thai actor Panutuch Saelee joins South Korean performers Lee Woo-jin, Seo Yi-han, and Sae Byeol from the K-pop group WAKER, who makes his acting debut. This cross-cultural lineup reflects the increasing connection within Asian entertainment markets.
The Lie We Lived In
Viki presents The Lie We Lived In, a genre-blending BL thriller. The series combines mystery, crime, and romance. It follows Seo I-do, a contract killer who receives a new assignment. However, an unexpected guest disrupts his mission and changes everything.
I-do must then share a space with a stranger under a false identity. He soon discovers that his companion hides a dangerous secret as a detective closes in. As tension rises, I-do faces a critical decision between duty and desire.
