Cade Hoppe returns with “Crashland,” an indie-pop anthem about star-crossed lovers, emotional vulnerability, and chasing connections that cannot last.

Los Angeles-based singer, songwriter, and producer Cade Hoppe returns with his latest single, “Crashland.” The indie-pop track blends warm grooves, shimmering guitars, and an anthemic chorus. Together, these elements create an upbeat sound with an emotional core.

Hoppe co-produced the song with Harper James. “Crashland” follows two star-crossed lovers who pursue a connection despite knowing it cannot last. Rather than avoid the inevitable, they choose to experience it anyway. Hoppe explains:

This is a song about being star-crossed. Sometimes it doesn’t matter how many warning signs you get—you’ve got to learn the hard way.

The new release follows “Still Turn This Around” and “Lake Michigan.” It also offers another glimpse into Hoppe’s upcoming album, Safer at a Distance. The project examines his changing relationship with music, ambition, and uncertainty.

A New Chapter for Cade Hoppe

Safer at a Distance reflects Hoppe’s ongoing search for purpose. The album moves between introspection and existential uncertainty. Moreover, it captures the tension of holding onto a future that remains unclear.

Hoppe took an unconventional route into music. He studied finance and played college basketball at New York University before committing to songwriting and production. When the pandemic began, he chose to pursue music full-time. He supported his early releases through service-industry work while developing his craft.

After seven years in New York City, Hoppe moved to Los Angeles. He now continues to develop his own sound while working as a producer for other artists.

Hoppe introduced his music in 2021 with the debut EP Tell Me How It’s Worth It. The release established his cinematic and emotionally direct songwriting style. He followed it with Everything That’s Wrong with You in 2022 and Just Look At The Moon in 2023.

Since then, Hoppe has gained recognition from tastemakers including Notion, Ones To Watch, and EARMILK. With “Crashland,” he continues that evolution while offering another preview of what lies ahead on Safer at a Distance.

Stream “Crashland” now and experience Cade Hoppe’s soaring new anthem of love, uncertainty, and learning the hard way.
