News
Belle Chen - Rise

Belle Chen brings her latest composition, “Rise,” to life with the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra and renowned conductor Ben Palmer.

On August 28, pianist-composer Belle Chen unveiled “Rise,” featuring the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Ben Palmer via Platoon. It builds on the momentum of Ravel in the Forest, her 2024 album that reached #7 on the UK Specialist Classical chart and #15 on the ARIA Classical chart.

Led by Ben Palmer, the orchestration of “Rise” is layered with emotional depth and balanced harmony. From the delicate strings to the resonant piano, every instrument clearly serves its purpose in achieving Belle’s vision. With each listen, the piece instills healing and relief, like a safe space far from the chaos of reality.

Belle goes into greater detail about her work, highlighting feelings of warmth and tenderness:

[Rise is] the gentle space between dreaming and waking. The quiet feeling of watching someone slowly awaken before the sun has risen, while the world is still asleep. This new composition captures that fleeting moment through delicate melodies, warm textures, and a quiet sense of wonder. A tender musical portrait of first light, stillness, and the beauty of a day that has yet to begin.

On Tour

Before the release of “Rise,” Belle Chen held over 20 concerts across Europe and the UK for her solo spring tour. Along with several sold-out shows in major venues, she also successfully performed at the Southbank Centre, London’s largest cultural hub. Her recent achievements and impressive reach once again prove why she’s a notable name in the industry.

Following these dates, Belle will resume her solo tour in October with highly anticipated shows in Latvia, China, and Australia. This signals another major step in her career as she connects with Asian and Oceanic audiences.
