Eui-ju Faces the Consequences in Absolute Value of Romance Episode 15
Absolute Value of Romance episode 15 begins on the day of Eui-ju’s disciplinary hearing. Before heading to school, she shares breakfast with her parents and prepares herself for what lies ahead. Meanwhile, the teachers discuss the situation and agree that Eui-ju must take responsibility for her actions.
At school, Principal Young-hee opens the hearing and invites everyone to share their views. Eui-ju’s mother speaks first. She apologizes on behalf of her daughter and asks the committee to give Eui-ju another chance. Furthermore, she argues that Eui-ju is still young and has not fully understood the consequences of her decisions.
Young-hee then turns to the teachers whose lives inspired the novel. Da-ju speaks on behalf of the group and says they will accept whatever decision the school makes. Meanwhile, Dong-ju emphasizes the importance of obtaining consent before using real people in creative work. Gi-jeon takes a different approach and argues that Eui-ju deserves forgiveness and an opportunity to learn from her mistake.

Meanwhile, Woo-su continues discussing the case with Principal Young-hee and the other staff members. During the conversation, some point out that the novel’s popularity has brought attention to the school. As a result, Young-hee struggles to decide whether Eui-ju deserves punishment or another chance.
Four days later, the school reaches a decision. Young-hee announces that Eui-ju will serve a five-day suspension. Although the punishment worries her at first, her friends quickly reassure her. They explain that the suspension will not appear on her permanent record or affect her future college applications.
Later, Woo-su addresses the class. He apologizes to his students for being inattentive and acknowledges his role in encouraging Eui-ju to continue writing. His honesty surprises many of the students. That evening, Eui-ju thanks Woo-su for supporting her during the hearing. She also asks why he chose to defend her. In response, Woo-su tells her that she is his first student and therefore holds a special place in his heart.
Over the next five days, Eui-ju makes the most of her suspension. Eventually, the time passes, and she prepares to return to school. Elsewhere, the night before her return, Woo-su shares an important decision with his fellow teachers. Although he keeps the details vague, it is clear that he plans to make a major change in his life.
The following day, Eui-ju returns to school and receives a warm welcome from her friends. To add to the surprises, Ha-su approaches her with an apology. Ha-su admits that she also had feelings for Woo-su. Furthermore, she confesses that her jealousy influenced her decision to expose Eui-ju’s secret.
Eui-ju Finds the Courage to Confess
Later, the students gather in the auditorium for Deul-i’s special lecture. Before the event begins, Eui-ju heads to the media room to retrieve a remote control. There, she unexpectedly runs into Deul-i.
Sensing Eui-ju’s nervousness, Deul-i speaks with her briefly. In return, Eui-ju offers words of encouragement and wishes her luck before the presentation. Meanwhile, Woo-su accompanies Deul-i outside. Eui-ju notices how comfortable they seem around each other. As a result, she cannot hide her jealousy.
Soon, Deul-i takes the stage and delivers a successful speech. The students listen attentively and leave impressed by her accomplishments. Moreover, many of them line up afterward to take photos with her. Eui-ju joins the crowd and gets her chance as well.
As Deul-i prepares to leave, she shares a heartfelt message with Woo-su. She tells him that she misses competing alongside him in America. Furthermore, she admits that she wishes he would join her there once again.
Later that day, Woo-su gives his extra-class students a surprise quiz. Everyone works through the questions, and Eui-ju ends up finishing last. When the time comes to submit her paper, she makes an unexpected decision. Instead of focusing on the quiz answers, she fills the page with her thoughts about the “absolute value” of her romance with Woo-su.
Through her writing, Eui-ju finally says what she has been unable to express out loud. Absolute Value of Romance episode 15 ends as she turns in the paper, using the quiz as a heartfelt confession to the teacher she loves.
