Eui-ju’s Secret Comes Crashing Down in Absolute Value of Romance Episode 14

Absolute Value of Romance episode 14 begins with Ha-su confronting Woo-su about Eui-ju’s web novel. However, Woo-su remains calm and reveals that he already knows about it. His response shocks Ha-su. Furthermore, she accuses him of showing too much concern for a student like Eui-ju.

Determined to expose the truth, Ha-su shares the novel with the entire school. She also reports the matter to Principal Young-hee. Moreover, she argues that the author should face punishment because the story could harm the school’s reputation. Meanwhile, Go-ya discovers that Eui-ju is the writer behind the novel. Hurt by another secret, she confronts her friend. However, the conversation takes an emotional turn.

Go-ya blames herself for not being someone Eui-ju could fully trust. In response, Eui-ju admits that embarrassment kept her from telling the truth. The two eventually reconcile, and Go-ya offers her support. Elsewhere, Dan-ji and Yeon-jae defend Eui-ju when Ha-su begins speaking badly about her. Their support helps Eui-ju feel less alone during the growing controversy.

Back in class, the situation quickly spirals out of control. Some students criticize Eui-ju for writing the novel, while others stand by her side. The disagreement soon turns into a heated argument that disrupts the entire classroom. Seeing the chaos unfold, Woo-su takes Eui-ju outside to talk privately.

Eui-ju insists that she should bear the consequences alone. She asks Woo-su to deny any involvement in the novel. However, Woo-su refuses to distance himself from the truth. Instead, he encourages her to accept responsibility for her actions and face the situation honestly. Later, Principal Young-hee confronts Eui-ju directly and demands that she delete the novel. Woo-su tries to defend her, but the principal refuses to listen.

Instead, Young-hee pushes the matter further and calls for a disciplinary committee to investigate the case. Faced with the possibility of severe punishment, Eui-ju begins to panic and fears that she may be expelled from school.

Owning the Truth

Elsewhere, Dong-ju, Gi-jeon, and Da-ju sit down to read Eui-ju’s novel together. Dong-ju and Gi-jeon struggle to understand the story, while Da-ju focuses on a different issue. He complains about being pushed aside in the plot and receiving little attention compared to the others.

As the discussion continues, the three teachers talk about how Eui-ju used them as inspiration without asking for permission. Later, Woo-su joins the conversation. Rather than making a collective decision, he suggests that each person decide for themselves how they want to respond to the situation.

Meanwhile, Ji-a checks on Eui-ju and offers words of comfort. She tries to reassure her friend as the pressure surrounding the disciplinary hearing continues to grow. On her way home, Eui-ju runs into her father. He immediately notices that she is carrying a heavy burden. Furthermore, he encourages her to stay strong and face her problems head-on instead of running from them.

That night, Eui-ju finally opens up to her parents. She tells them about her passion for writing and reveals that she has been publishing novels online. Moreover, she confesses that she wrote the BL story inspired by her teachers.

She also explains the controversy surrounding the novel and the disciplinary hearing she now faces. Instead of hiding anything, she asks her parents to read the story and judge it for themselves.

Later that evening, Eui-ju makes a difficult decision. She posts a message to her readers and apologizes to the people who inspired her work. In addition, she acknowledges the hurt her actions may have caused and accepts responsibility for her mistakes.

Absolute Value of Romance episode 14 ends with Eui-ju deleting the novel from the website, closing an important chapter of her life while preparing to face the consequences of her choices.
