ASTRO’s happy virus MJ finally releases his 1st solo single album, Right..?, exploring the playful and heartfelt sides of love through “Ghosting” and “Tadaima.”
On August 19, ASTRO’s main vocalist MJ returned with his first solo single album, Right..?, opening a new chapter in his solo journey. Through its two tracks, he explores the playful and heartfelt sides of love while showcasing his bright vocals and distinct musical color.

The title of MJ’s first solo single album, Right..?, reflects a candid inner dialogue that questions whether everything is really “right,” while also capturing his playful personality. That question runs through both tracks as MJ navigates the uncertainties of love. In “Ghosting,” he wonders if his feelings are worth pursuing, while “Tadaima” turns that uncertainty into a hopeful question of whether the person he loves feels the same way.
Beyond its themes, MJ also took an active role in the album’s overall production. He contributed to the concept, lyrics, and composition, allowing him to bring his own musical color to the release.

Since making his solo debut with Happy Virus in 2021, MJ has continued to explore different sides of his artistry through various musical projects. More recently, he released the Christmas-themed single “CLOCK” and formed ZOONIZINI with fellow ASTRO member JinJin. Alongside his solo music, he continues to expand his career as a musical actor.
Track 1: “1~10, 1분 전(9에서 멈췄어) (Ghosting)”
The title track, “Ghosting,” brings a bright and playful take on unrequited love. Its upbeat live-band sound gives the song a youthful, refreshing energy. However, beneath its cheerful rhythm lies the heartbreak of rejection. MJ keeps getting rejected but humorously convinces himself he never liked them that much anyway.
Moreover, the catchy melody and bright vocals turn his awkward heartbreak into something fun and relatable. Lighthearted and cheeky, “Ghosting” feels almost like a rom-com soundtrack.
Meanwhile, the music video brings the story to life with MJ nervously sending a risky message and anxiously waiting for a reply. However, another rejection soon follows. He even puts effort into planning a date, which makes the disappointment hit harder. Still, MJ finds a way to laugh it off, adding humor to the awkward reality of one-sided love.
Track 2 : “ただいま (다녀왔어) (Tadaima)”
“Tadaima” brings a refreshing and comforting change of pace. The Japanese track captures the warmth of finding happiness in ordinary life with someone you love. Instead of focusing on grand romantic gestures, it celebrates the little moments that make a place feel like home.
At its heart, the song reminds us that difficult days feel lighter when someone is waiting for you. The lyrics bring everyday scenes to life, from walking home after work to exchanging “ただいま” (I’m home) and “おかえり” (Welcome home). These simple words create a quiet sense of comfort and belonging.
Musically, the track matches that warmth perfectly. Its acoustic texture and gentle melody create a refreshing, laid-back atmosphere, while the light and sweet vocals of MJ add another layer of tenderness. Every note feels soft and intimate, almost like coming home after a long day. Ultimately, “Tadaima” makes love feel warm, intimate, and beautiful.
With “Ghosting” and “Tadaima,” Right..? explores two contrasting sides of love. “Ghosting” turns rejection and unrequited feelings into something playful, while “Tadaima” captures the warmth of coming home to someone special. Together, they create a light yet heartfelt release. Moreover, it showcases MJ’s versatility in expressing both the humorous and tender sides of love through a refreshing musical approach.
