Yesterday Special Episode Recap: Kelvin’s Guilt Still Lingers

Kelvin reflects on his growing guilt, realizing that the more Vier forgives him, the harder it is to forgive himself. He admits that every day with Vier feels like going back in time, yet he knows his happiness comes from his own choices, not fate.

Later, over dinner, Kelvin thanks Vier for always staying by his side—even during the times he caused him pain. In response, Vier says he chose to understand, to endure, and to believe in their future, asking to finally leave the past behind.

Wanting to make it up to him, Kelvin surprises Vier by singing during dinner and giving him a rose. In return, Vier thanks him with a kiss, sealing their renewed connection.

When Forgiveness Becomes a Choice to Move Forward

Later that night, Kelvin grows anxious and feels like someone is watching him, but Vier reassures him and helps him calm down. Still, Kelvin opens up and admits that his happiness doesn’t feel real, saying, “the way you forgave me so easily, gave me all the chances, and acted as if nothing had happened. it made me hate myself even more.”

In response, Vier explains that his anger before wasn’t about what Kelvin did, but about how Kelvin failed to see his own worth. He adds that “forgiveness isn’t a reward, but a decision to move on,” and reminds Kelvin that he forgave him so he could keep living, not stay trapped in the past.

Hearing this, Kelvin asks if moving on means he isn’t remorseful. However, Vier clarifies that it means growing up, taking responsibility, and choosing to be better. In the end, Vier reassures him that he loves who Kelvin is now—not who he was before—and pulls him into a tight embrace.

What Does Success Mean for Kelvin, Vier, Nana, and Lalin?

Kelvin, Vier, Nana, and Lalin head to V&V Beach Hotel for an interview and enjoy a peaceful moment at the beach. However, trouble briefly returns when Ken, who escaped from prison, watches them from afar, as also shown in the final episode. Before he can act, Lavid steps in and kills him, avenging his brother and father and finally ending Ken’s threat for good.

After that, the group reflects during the interview. They share that true success comes from having someone who believes in you, even when you don’t believe in yourself. They also say that “success doesn’t make them happy—happiness makes them successful.”

Later, Nana asks Vier why he loves Kelvin so much. Vier explains that Kelvin was never truly evil—his circumstances shaped him—and that Kelvin is the only one who gives him peace of mind. Meanwhile, Nana opens up about Lalin, saying that being with her feels like being close to her parents again, which deepens her love for her.

Where Love Becomes Home in Yesterday Special Episode

Kelvin asks Vier how he ended up liking him back when he was still quiet and naive. Vier explains that he was drawn to Kelvin’s innocence, saying it made him more special than anyone else, even though it was all part of his plan.

Then Kelvin opens up and says Vier is the only one who ever made him feel like he mattered after everything he went through. He thanks Vier for staying by his side even when he kept hurting him, saying Vier is his home.

In response, Vier promises to always be his home and asks Kelvin to marry him, which Kelvin wholeheartedly accepts.
