On November 7, Doctor X: Mafia in White episode 10 premiered on Netflix. The episode follows Su-jeong as she leads a high-risk operation to save Hyeon-a, earning the support of several doctors despite GUMC’s medical strike.
The hospital’s senior doctors face disciplinary action from the Magnolia Society for defying the strike and performing the surgery without IRB approval. Moreover, Su-jeong’s past comes back into focus when Kim Seung-hyo, the founder of White Wings, arrives at GUMC for a heart transplant and specifically requests her as his surgeon.

Hee-sook Joins Su-jeong in the Operating Room in Doctor X: Mafia in White Episode 10 Recap
Episode 10 of Doctor X: Mafia in White opens with Hee-sook remembering the advice she once gave Su-jeong in Lagota. She urged her to always stand by her patients, no matter the circumstances. She also recalls rushing into an operating room with a donor heart despite her injuries to help Su-jeong perform a heart transplant.
In the present, Hee-sook puts those words into action. She enters the operating room to assist Su-jeong with Hyeon-a’s complicated surgery. Dr Do, Tae-kyeong, and Won-jin also join the team as they continue the procedure.
Meanwhile, Director Bu refuses to support the medical strike. He tells the staff that GUMC lacks enough skilled surgeons to perform the operation Hyeon-a needs to survive. He believes they have a moral responsibility to save her and rushes to the operating room. Dr Bae follows him but first asks Seong-gyu to come along. However, Seong-gyu chooses to remain in the auditorium.
The Magnolia Society members soon arrive at the operating room. Chairman Kim, Mr Gu, and Mayor Im confront the senior doctors for defying the strike. However, Director Bu challenges their decision to obstruct Hyeon-a’s surgery. He then uses his authority to cut off the microphone connection.
GUMC Doctors Successfully Save Hyeon-a
Outside the operating room, Seong-gyu watches the confrontation unfold. Chairman Kim suggests sending security guards inside to stop the doctors. However, Seong-gyu warns that such an action could contaminate the operating room while Hyeon-a’s organs remain outside her body. He also reminds the group that CCTV cameras record everything inside the room. Fearing the public consequences, the Magnolia Society members decide to discuss their next move.
Elsewhere, Seong-jin arrives to assist with the surgery. The team begins placing Hyeon-a’s organs back into her body after removing the cancerous growth. They carefully monitor the organs as they regain their healthy pink colour, a sign that blood circulation has returned.
Su-jeong completes the final stitches, and the operation succeeds. The doctors feel overwhelmed with relief, especially Seong-jin, who struggles to hold back his tears. Su-jeong thanks everyone who came to help her. Director Bu, Dr Do, and Dr Bae feel embarrassed by her gratitude.
The doctors then ask Su-jeong to place her hand over Hyeon-a’s heart, following her usual post-surgery ritual. Instead, Su-jeong takes Hee-sook’s hand and places both of their hands on the young patient’s chest.
The team later informs Hyeon-a’s mother that the operation was successful. Ga-eul and her sister also thank Su-jeong for saving their friend. Moreover, Hee-sook invites everyone who participated in the surgery to a team dinner.
During the gathering, Tae-kyeong attempts to make a toast, but Su-jeong starts eating before he can finish. Dr Do and Dr Bae initially remain tense. However, Director Bu’s compliments about Su-jeong gradually ease the atmosphere. Tae-kyeong watches in disbelief as the doctors begin bonding despite the chaos surrounding their dinner.
Mi-gyeong and Eung-gu wonder whether Hee-sook feels happy to see Su-jeong making friends at GUMC. Later that night, they accompany Su-jeong to the bus stop while she takes a nap.

After boarding his bus, Tae-kyeong checks his phone and finds messages from his parents. He replies to them with a sense of pride after helping save Hyeon-a. Elsewhere, Seong-gyu returns home and checks on his niece. He remembers Dr Bae’s words and begins to regret missing the operation. Later, Su-jeong, Tae-kyeong, Won-jin, and Seong-jin discuss the disciplinary action over a meal. Won-jin points out that Hyeon-a’s family could sue them if the IRB investigation finds the operation unlawful.
Just then, Seong-jin receives a call about a building fire. He immediately rushes to the emergency department as the hospital begins receiving victims. Won-jin reminds him that he could face further disciplinary action, but Seong-jin refuses to abandon the patients.
Meanwhile, Su-jeong returns to GUMC to check on Hyeon-a. She asks Won-jin to help her enter the hospital. The doctors take turns monitoring the young patient while Seong-jin treats the fire victims.
Later that day, the Magnolia Society summons Director Bu, Dr Do, Dr Bae, Su-jeong, Won-jin, Tae-kyeong, and Seong-jin for a disciplinary hearing. However, Hee-sook has arranged the confrontation to protect the doctors. She convinces Hyeon-a’s mother to threaten legal action against the hospital and foundation. The Magnolia Society representatives panic and decide to put the disciplinary measures on hold.
After the meeting, Su-jeong privately thanks Hyeon-a’s mother for intervening. However, the mother turns the gratitude around and thanks Su-jeong for saving her daughter’s life.
A Familiar Face Arrives at GUMC
That night, Tae-kyeong, Seong-jin, and Won-jin make their rounds around the hospital. They notice posters featuring Gu Yeo-rim, the founding director of Guseo Medical Centre, and Kim Seung-hyo, the founder of White Wings, a medical volunteer organisation. Tae-kyeong and Won-jin appear unsettled by the posters.
Meanwhile, Dr Bae discusses Seung-hyo’s upcoming arrival from the United States. He will undergo a heart transplant at GUMC. Hee-sook also learns about his transfer and reacts with shock.
Director Bu later discovers that Seung-hyo specifically requested GUMC for his operation. His guardian, Won-jin, and primary surgeon, Su-jeong, both work at the hospital. This revelation leaves Director Bu surprised.
