As the Fall 2026 anime season approaches, streaming platform Crunchyroll has unveiled its new crop of fantasy shows premiering this October.
With Halloween in October, All Saints’ Day in November, and Christmas in December, Crunchyroll is offering a fantastical lineup for the Fall 2026 anime season. Fantasy seems to be the dominant genre for the next few months, complete with new and returning series that you shouldn’t miss.
Mega favorites like Black Clover, Sasaki and Peeps, and As a Reincarnated Aristocrat, I’ll Use My Appraisal Skill to Rise in the World are returning for their second seasons. A huge 90s favorite, Magic Knight Rayearth, will premiere its highly anticipated remake this season, too. And don’t miss some awesome new shows like Firefly Wedding and PSYREN.
1. As a Reincarnated Aristocrat, I’ll Use My Appraisal Skill to Rise in the World Season 3
Ars Louvent is back with his nifty appraisal skill to collect even more allies. With his ever-loyal vassals like the strong Ritsu, the magical Charlotte, and the intelligent Rosell by his side, he’s out to make the kingdom more peaceful and a happier place for all.
This time, however, he’s catching the eye of more nobles, including those who see him as a dangerous threat. Despite how young he is, he’s still the new lord of his land, and it’s up to him to defend his home from outsiders looking to take it for themselves.

2. Overgeared
In this new anime adaptation of the South Korean manhwa of the same name, exclusive to Crunchyroll, a VR game comes to life in Overgeared. A video game addict and deadbeat, Youngwoo Shin works odd jobs just to pay off his loans. When he logs into the new popular VR game, Satisfy, he becomes Grid the Warrior, who’s just as mediocre in the game world.
Things change when he stumbles upon a mysterious tome containing the legendary blacksmith’s lost knowledge, filled with god-tier items he can use to help win the game. The only catch is his skills reset every time he uses it, which means he frequently has to start from square one.

3. Black Clover Season 2
The stakes are higher than ever for Asta, the Black Bulls, and the rest of the Magic Knights in Black Clover‘s second season. The last time we saw them, The Dark Triad captured their captains and took them to the Spade Kingdom, leaving their Clover Kingdom vulnerable to other threats looking to take it over.

Magical romance continues from the Summer 2026 anime season to fall, as Hello, I am a Witch and my Crush Wants me to Make a Love Potion! packs on the heartwarming fuzzies just in time for the colder months. Solitary witch Rose lives quietly by the lake, when one day, the knight she secretly loves asks her to brew a love potion… for someone else.
Though heartbroken, she doesn’t refuse him and takes on the task so she can treasure a bit of time with him. They spend their days gathering ingredients, all while Rose falls deeper for her unrequited love.

5. Magic Knight Rayearth
One of the defining works of the Magical Girl genre in the early 90s, Clamp’s Magic Knight Rayearth returns with a brand-new anime adaptation. Hikaru Shidou, Umi Ryuuzaki, and Fuu Hououji are back to save Cephiro, beating enemies and falling in love along the way.
What would’ve been an ordinary field trip to Tokyo Tower becomes a magical adventure when Hikaru, Umi, and Fuu are transported to the mysterious world of Cephiro. They learn that Princess Emeraude, Cephiro’s current Pillar, summoned them to help save her world from High Priest Zagato’s tyranny.

6. Sasaki and Peeps
Fans of Sasaki and Peeps will be happy to know that the series returns for its second season on October 7, 2026. Middle-aged office worker Sasaki and his pet bird Peeps, who’s actually a powerful mage from another world, are back for all sorts of magical adventures.
Expect swords, sorcery, and plenty of laughs as Sasaki tries to navigate his ordinary life in Japan while surviving his crazy other life in another world.

7. The World’s Strongest Witch
Ready for a witchy Halloween this October? Then look no further than The World’s Strongest Witch, premiering on Crunchyroll on October 7, 2026. The series follows Lorna Hermit, who is kicked out of her aristocratic family after manifesting a “useless” SSS skill.
Little do they know, however, that this special skill, “Internet,” is actually the most useful of them all. With it, she can research just about anything, from other skills to weapons she can collect to become the most powerful witch in the world.

Dark romance fans rejoice! Firefly Wedding has an upcoming anime adaptation that will stream on Crunchyroll starting October 9, 2026. The popular historical manga-turned-anime follows Satoko Kirigaya, daughter of a noble family in Meiji-era Japan, who wants nothing less than to marry into a good family.
She’s running out of time because of her heart condition, so when the mysterious assassin, Shinpei Goto, kidnaps her, she proposes marriage in desperation. Little did she know she was making a deal with the devil, as Goto ends up obsessing over her to a dangerous degree.

10. The Vermilion Mask
Here’s a slightly spooky and sad anime just in time for Halloween: The Vermilion Mask. Premiering on Crunchyroll on October 9th, the series follows apprentice mask maker Peru. Unaware of the masks’ dangers, Peru is possessed by the Mask of the Warrior God, which forces him to kill his friends and master, the legendary Gaston Roux.
Consumed by guilt, Peru vows to destroy every mask his master created to avoid similar tragedies. Along the way, he makes new friends, gains new allies, and discovers more about those dreaded masks.
