Jason Piccioni steps forward with Cupid in the Sky and Piero Piccioni REVIBED, blending legacy, innovation, and cinematic soundscapes.
Jason Piccioni introduces a new chapter in his career with Cupid in the Sky and Piero Piccioni REVIBED, two albums that showcase his evolution as an artist, producer, and storyteller. Known for his experimental project Electric J, Jason spent decades shaping music behind the scenes before stepping forward under his own name.
Born in Italy to legendary composer Piero Piccioni and actress Gloria Paul, Jason grew up surrounded by film, creativity, and sound. His father’s groundbreaking work in Italian cinema exposed him to jazz, orchestral arrangements, funk, and experimental composition from an early age. That environment helped shape Jason’s deep connection to music and inspired his own creative journey.

After studying in England and spending time in Paris, Jason explored New York’s underground house scene through his Electric J project. He released vinyl records on respected labels and later developed a sound that blended electronic music, drum and bass, trip-hop, jazz fusion, and atmospheric production.
Moreover, his work as a writer and producer earned him opportunities with Universal Music Publishing Group, Warner Music Group’s WEA, and collaborations with artists such as Eumir Deodato and Kylie Minogue.
Preserving a Legacy While Creating a New Sound
Following Piero Piccioni’s passing in 2004, Jason took responsibility for preserving his father’s extensive musical archive. He restored scores, recordings, and master tapes while helping introduce Piero’s work to new audiences through streaming platforms, licensing, and digital releases.
Furthermore, Jason channels his family legacy into Piero Piccioni REVIBED, where he reimagines his father’s cinematic sound through modern production, nu-jazz influences, and electronic textures. Meanwhile, Cupid in the Sky explores his own artistic identity with funk-driven grooves, soulful melodies, and jazz-inspired arrangements.
Jason produced, programmed, and engineered both albums himself, with additional performances from musicians including members of Orchestra 014 and drummer Francesco Mendolia of Incognito. Beyond music releases, he continues to lead Camille 3000, a creative platform that connects analog traditions with futuristic electronic innovation.
After years of supporting others and protecting a musical legacy, Jason Piccioni now steps into the spotlight as an artist with a story entirely his own.
