Southern California punk band CHASER returns with new two‑song record Gonna Be Alright, arriving May 29!
CHASER and their upcoming release Gonna Be Alright features a reimagined “Three Little Birds” by Bob Marley. On the flip side is a remastered “My Promise,” one of the band’s fan-favorite tracks. The release captures CHASER’s identity, reflecting uplifting spirit and emotional sincerity for their listeners.

From Southern California, CHASER includes Mike LeDonne (vocals), Jesse Stopnitzky (bass/vocals), Bill Hockmuth (guitar), and Davey Guy (drums). Formed in 2018, they built a reputation as melodic punk’s most positive and resonant live act. They have toured extensively across many countries and appeared in major music festivals.
As they work on their next full-length album, Gonna Be Alright stands as a special release. While touring, fans can stream the track and jam with them.
Reimagined for new generation
CHASER continues connecting with listeners across punk, hardcore, metal, and rock, this time with Gonna Be Alright. Songs rooted in resilience, sincerity, and community spirit help them build a bridge with their fans. The band says,
We are so excited to share this release. While we’re not quite ready for a new full-length yet, we wanted to put something really cool out before our tours this summer. These songs came out amazing and we know people are going to sing along with them at the shows.
Delivering their energetic punk take on Bob Marley’s “Three Little Birds,” the song is now streaming worldwide. The track bursts with soaring melodies, driving rhythms, and the band’s trademark emotional urgency. It preserves the original’s optimism and warmth while infusing fresh melodic punk energy. According to bassist Jesse Stopnitzky,
When my son was born, the first song I sang to him in the hospital was Bob Marley’s ‘Three Little Birds.’ So we reimagined it as an upbeat punk rock version, adding our thumbprint while preserving its message of positivity, hope, and unity, which are the ethos of our band and live shows. Built for summer, this high-energy nostalgic singalong is a feel-good reminder that everything’s gonna be alright. It seems we can all use some good vibes right now.
Meanwhile, the second track “My Promise” arrives May 29 with the 7” release. The song is originally acoustic from the band’s 2010 album The Big Picture. Now, it is transformed into a punk anthem. Vocalist Mike LeDonne shares more about the track:
I wrote ‘My Promise’ for my daughter when she was born in 2006. It’s a heartfelt song about protecting the ones you love and always being there to guide them through life. Twenty years later, this reimagined melodic punk version captures a new perspective on parenthood. The lyrics and message are as pure today as they were then.
Cover Art

Paul Miner recorded, mixed, and mastered Gonna Be Alright in California. It also showcases visually striking artwork by Mark De Salvo and Samuel Lucas. Each side of the 7” presents distinct artistic styles, connected through themes of hope, light, and positivity. The band says,
We wanted the artwork to feel completely different from each other stylistically, while still capturing the same emotional thread.
Catch CHASER on their upcoming shows and during their Europe and Canada summer tour and stream their version of “Three Little Birds.” Stay tuned for their upcoming releases!
