Dan Miraldi returns with “Magic in the Air,” a heartfelt NYC-inspired single celebrating fleeting moments, featuring Palmyra Delran’s vocals.

Dan Miraldi captures fleeting wonder in everyday life with “Magic in the Air,” his new single featuring Palmyra Delran, out now via Wicked Cool Records. The track arrives as a bright, street-level anthem that turns ordinary moments into something quietly electric, balancing heartfelt storytelling with garage-tinged power-pop energy.

Rooted in Miraldi’s experiences in New York City, “Magic in the Air” reflects on chance encounters and the small, often overlooked instants that carry unexpected emotional weight. “I like to leave interpretation to the listener,” Miraldi shares, “but to me, it’s about finding joy in everyday life. The world can get you down, but every now and then something mundane can feel miraculous and empowering.”

That sense of spontaneity extends to the song’s creation. Miraldi notes that unlike many of his more painstaking compositions, this one arrived with ease. The recording process followed suit. Most of the track were produced in his bedroom using GarageBand, apart from live drums and Delran’s vocal contribution. The result is a raw yet polished sound that leans into immediacy rather than overproduction.

The single also features contributions from longtime collaborators. This includes Michael Guggino of Brooklyn psych trio Freaky Wildness on lead guitar and Jay Nemeyer of Color Palette on bass, adding depth to its vibrant sonic palette. Delran’s presence, however, gives the track its emotional spark. “When I was writing the song, I could hear Palmyra’s voice singing it,” Miraldi says. “Having her actually on the recording is extremely special.”

“Magic in the Air” marks Miraldi’s debut release under Wicked Cool Records, the label founded by Steven Van Zandt. For Miraldi, joining the roster feels both grounding and forward-looking, aligning with his long-standing dedication to honest, melody-driven rock.

A Cleveland native now based in New York, Miraldi has released eight albums and eight EPs. He earned recognition as a John Lennon Songwriting Contest finalist. Miraldi also shared stages with acts including The Wailers and Wiz Khalifa. With “Magic in the Air,” he continues to refine his blend of sincerity and hook-driven songwriting, reminding listeners that even the smallest moments can carry a spark worth holding onto.
