The Demon Inside Pete in WU The Series Episode 5

WU The Series episode 5 begins with Pete sensing the growing power of the demon inside him. He can now hear even the faintest sounds from far away, showing how strong his abilities have become. Meanwhile, Fei asks Niran why he isolates himself and continues working for money he never seems to use.

Niran avoids the question and shifts the conversation. Inside the house, the group plays and drinks alcohol. Suddenly, Jia Hao remembers a crucial detail from the ritual—they forgot to place a talisman beside Pete while he was sleeping.

It turns out that Pete cannot control the demon inside him while he is asleep. As a result, he wakes up with the demon fully in control of his body. His friends try to stop him, but it is already too late. Pete escapes the house and runs away.

Niran Binds His Soul to Pete

Niran realizes that Pete’s friends can no longer handle him, so he takes immediate action. He performs a ritual using two dolls, casting a soul-binding spell to protect Pete.

After the ritual, Pete loses consciousness and wakes up to see his injured friends. He asks what happened, and they reveal that he caused their injuries while possessed. Fei then explains everything that happened and tells him what Niran did to save him.

The next morning, Pete begins seeing Niran’s face everywhere. When he finally confronts him, he jokingly asks if the soul-binding ritual made him fall in love. Niran dismisses the claim, saying it is simply a protective technique, not a love spell.

Niran explains that their souls are now linked. Because of this, Pete must be extremely careful. He warns that if one of them dies, the other will also die.

The Ritual to Defeat Qi Rong

The team prepares a ritual to defeat the demon Qi Rong. They acknowledge that the ritual is extremely dangerous and that a single mistake could cost them their lives. When the ritual begins, the team gathers on a rooftop. Pete senses Qi Rong’s presence, while his friends act as bait and he serves as the energy absorber for the demon.

However, a thick fog suddenly appears, disrupting the ritual. A flashback shows Niran predicting that Qi Rong would release a manipulative fog to confuse them. He warned the team to stay focused, as their survival depends on completing the ritual.

Back in the present, the fog separates the group and forces them to confront their fears and insecurities. The episode ends with Niran trapped in a mirror-filled space with Qi Rong.

Episode 5 of WU The Series intensifies the series by showing Pete’s powers evolving into something both powerful and unstable. The soul-binding between him and Niran raises the emotional and narrative stakes, making their survival directly dependent on each other.

The ritual against Qi Rong builds strong tension but quickly unravels as the fog disrupts the team’s coordination. The ending leaves a gripping sense of danger, especially with Niran trapped and the group forced to confront their deepest fears.
