The Yao at the Gambling House in WU The Series Episode 2
WU The Series episode 2 opens by introducing young Niran. He lived with his grandfather, who also possessed the ability to eliminate yao and other bizarre beings. People called them Wu, protectors of heaven and earth. Even as a child, Niran already dreamed of becoming a Wu.
Back in the present, Pete visits Niran and asks him to exorcise the yao inside him. However, Niran explains that he cannot do that because he still does not know the full details behind the entity.
Later, Niran gives Pete money as payment for helping him eliminate the yao in the previous episode. He then asks Pete if he is willing to help him eliminate another yao—the one they saw in the gambling house. Niran offers him a large amount of money, and Pete immediately agrees.
The two later discuss their plan to defeat the yao. Pete will participate in the gambling games while Niran prepares the ritual. Pete needs to keep winning so Niran can capture the yao. However, Pete continues to lose as the game progresses.
Fortunately, luck finally turns in Pete’s favor. He manages to win, giving Niran the opportunity to capture the yao. Niran successfully seals the entity inside a casino chip.
Pete Learns the Truth About the Entity Inside Him
Elsewhere, Pete discovers something connected to the entity inside him. He finds a fragile rock hidden together with his birth certificate. Pete also learns that he had no hearing when he was born.
He brings the rock to Niran and asks if it has anything to do with the yao inside him. However, Niran tells him that he is mistaken. According to Niran, a yao does not possess Pete. Instead, a demon called Liu Er Mihou possesses him. The demon is known as the Six-Eared Macaque with heavenly hearing, which explains why it chose Pete as its host.
Niran admits that he cannot do anything about it. He warns Pete that leaving the demon alone might be the safest option for him.
Later, Niran gives the casino chip containing the yao to several men in exchange for money. The episode reveals that Niran has already accumulated millions of baht through these transactions.
Meanwhile, someone involved in politics receives the chip, hinting that they may use the yao for their own gain. The episode ends with Pete and Niran officially calling each other “friends.”
Episode 2 of WU The Series delivers another thrilling and chilling episode. The story continues to showcase Niran’s mysterious role as an exorcist while further exploring Pete’s connection to the demon possessing him.
The next episode will feature Niran asking Pete to use the demon’s power to help locate someone. However, Niran warns him not to let the demon consume him.
