Da-iCE has new theme song “Uraraka” for the series A Calm Sea and Beautiful Days with You, talking about the simplicity of love and hoping it will endure.
Five-member male artist group Da-iCE has new theme song “Uraraka” for the series A Calm Sea and Beautiful Days with You (波うららかに、めおと日和). This mid-tempo ballad will be playing alongside the show starting on October 15, 2026. The original series aired from April to June 2025. Now, the sequel continues the couple’s story, and Da-iCE’s new theme will play alongside it.
“Uraraka” was written by Da-iCE’s Sota Hanamura, along with Ryuki Koike of GENIC. The two collaborated to create a song about the simple, enduring impulse to love someone, with a sincere wish that the feeling will continue into the next century.
The show is based on the manga by Hachi Nishika, with the story beginning in the spring of 1936 as Natsumi Sekiya finds herself arranged to be engaged to lieutenant Takimasa Ebata. Now, the newlyweds must find their own way to communicate and get to know each other as they start to build a life together.
The slow-growing connection between the two is where Da-iCE’s theme song lies. Rather than treating love as a sudden grand gesture, the ballad reflects the sincerity of two people learning to love and care for each other. Its arrangement is by ha-j, who balanced the song’s solid foundation with warmth. Wedding-inspired elements was also incorporated to complement the drama’s setting.
