Crunchyroll and TMS announced new Bananya Buddies mobile game in time for its 10th anniversary. Are you ready for the cuteness of it all?
Bananya Buddies will launch along with the 10th Anniversary anime special. This is courtesy of Crunchyroll, TMS Entertainment, and independent studio The MIX. It is a cozy cat-collecting mobile game.
Moreover, it is available for pre-registration on Google Play (with App Store coming soon). Players can collect Bananyas, play mini-games, earn rewards, and customize the living arrangements of their squadron of Bananyas.

Bananya Buddies is a game meant to capture all the charm and magic of the original. While giving the fans ample opportunity to interact and deck out the ultimate Bananya hangout pad. Players get the opportunity to check out Bananya Planet.
There, they can play mini-games to earn enough money for your adorable visitors. Leaving these items out will also boost Buddy Points with the visiting Bananyas, making them stay longer. In addition, they will also end up giving you gifts in return.
In the game, one can even reach Best Buddies status, as well as the even more thrilling: Best Buddies Forever! status. Special perks include being able to have sleepovers and other secret features players will have to find out through playing the game.
The game is available in English, French, Italian, German, Spanish (Latin America), and Spanish (Spain).
10th Anniversary Anime Special
Furthermore, the Bananya 10th Anniversary anime special premiered on July 4, exactly 10 years since the first Bananya episode in 2016. Its new commemorative theme song and voice cast will include personalities like Atsumi Tanezaki, Yuino Ito, and Toshiyuki Morikawa. Streaming for it will be available as early as July 9 on Crunchyroll.
The anime was adapted from W-LiA’s popular character Bananya, who debuted on July 2016. Shows like Bananya, Bananya and the Curious Bunch, and Bananya Around the World are available for streaming on Crunchyroll.
