In Your Radiant Season Episode 6 Recap: Chan’s Sudden Departure
In Your Radiant Season episode 6 opens with Chan returning to Seoul, eager to see Ha-ran. His plans are interrupted when Ben calls, telling him they must return to the States immediately. Chan rushes to the airport and tries calling Ha-ran, but she is in a meeting with Na-na and cannot answer. Mr. Park eventually informs her of the sudden change, and she learns that leadership shifts in Chan’s company have halted all projects.
Back at Na-na Atelier, everyone misses Chan, especially Ha-ran, who keeps waiting for a call or message. Meanwhile, Ha-ran’s team begins a new project, reinterpreting the atelier’s ‘70s designs. Ha-young suggests using sustainable materials, but Tae-suk argues that clients expect premium fabrics. Later, Ha-ran and Mr. Park reflect on Chan’s absence, accompanied by Park’s dog, Genius, and Dong-gu, a little boy Chan used to play with.
Moving On and Letting Go
At school, Ha-dam confronts You-gyum after finding his bottle in her grandmother’s study and seeing So-ra call his phone. You-gyum admits he met Na-na to “score brownie points” and spoke to So-ra only to tell her to stop following him. Ha-dam tells him she cannot accept his lies, while You-gyum feels frustrated by her suspicion.
Meanwhile, Ha-ran learns from Tae-suk that Ben said the project might be canceled, and she still cannot reach Chan since his old phone number is no longer active. At home, the Song sisters argue over their bad days but later go to a seaside spot to share their worries and release stress. Ha-young reassures Ha-ran that Chan will contact her, but Ha-ran appears determined to move on. The next day, she focuses on her new project and tells Mr. Park that Chan will likely not return.
One day, Ha-ran takes a day off, worrying Ha-young, while Na-na goes to the hospital for a test. Tae-suk finds an error in one of their garments, forcing Ha-ran to leave and fix it. Mr. Park, visiting the hospital for tests, sees her working diligently. Ha-ran personally corrects the mistake caused by Na-na’s oversight and apologizes to the factory workers, but she breaks down and cries after leaving.
That night, Ha-ran returns home late and tells Na-na that she visited all the places on Chan’s Seoul bucket list, but it didn’t help her move on. Still, she doesn’t regret knowing him. Na-na reminds her that sometimes, letting go is the best way forward.

Chan Returns to Ha-ran
The next day, Mr. Park visits Na-na and asks about her hospital trip, but she lies to him. Meanwhile, Ha-ran and Rae-mee attend an exhibition by the artist Jay Yoon. Ha-ran remembers she was supposed to meet Chan at a one-table restaurant that day, and when Rae-mee sees the reservation, he insists they go. Upon arrival, Rae-mee suddenly leaves to meet his partner, and just as Ha-ran is about to enter, a familiar voice calls her—it’s Chan.
Ha-ran is stunned and embraces him tightly. As they sit down to eat, Chan explains that he sent her a message while his flight was taking off, but it never reached her due to a network issue. He adds that he and his team worked nonstop in the following days, saving their project. While Chan speaks to Mr. Park on the phone, Ha-ran falls asleep at the table, and Mr. Park notes that she hasn’t been resting properly since Chan left.
Elsewhere, Ha-young visits a fabric store and learns that Tae-suk requested biosilk without being able to pay upfront. She confronts him, telling him he doesn’t need to go so far, and he replies that she shouldn’t pretend to be okay when she’s not. Ha-young struggles to understand his words, and a flashback shows her at her parents’ funeral, telling herself she had to stay strong to hold her family together.
About an hour after Ha-ran falls asleep, she and Chan head out together. Suddenly, Chan realizes he left his suitcase at the airport, so he rushes back to retrieve it. He calls Ha-ran to say he found it, but he stops speaking when he sees her walking into the airport herself.
Ha-ran explains that when he left before, she was filled with regrets and never wants to feel that way again. Then, she returns the question Chan once asked her when he first arrived in South Korea. She asks if she can “be nice to him now.” Overwhelmed with emotion, Chan pulls her into a heartfelt hug.

In Your Radiant Season Episode 6 Review
In Your Radiant Season episode 6 delivers a heartfelt and emotional reunion between Chan and Ha-ran.
