However, she quickly stops when she realizes the “intruder” is just a young girl. Soon, the truth comes out that Mi-Sook is a single mother, and the child, Bom, is her daughter. Bom has been living in a children’s home, but she secretly visits her mother at the dorm.
Although Bom is sweet and clever, her presence creates a serious problem. She sneaks in and out easily and even takes chocolates from the fridge. Because of this, Jang-Mi firmly warns Mi-Sook that Bom cannot stay there.
She reminds her that dorm rules are strict, and breaking them could ruin their jobs. As a result, she gives Mi-Sook a deadline to send Bom back.
Secrets and an Unexpected Deal
Later in Undercover Miss Hong episode 5, things get worse when Bom returns to the dorm soaked in water while Jang-Mi is away. Mi-Sook scolds her, which makes Bom cry, and Eun-Jo also cries with her out of sympathy. Feeling guilty, the three decide to hide Bom in the dorm without telling Jang-Mi.
Unfortunately, their secret falls apart when Bom suddenly develops a high fever while alone. Thankfully, Jang-Mi finds her in time and rushes her to the hospital.
Because of this, Jang-Mi breaks curfew ander and faces punishment, but she still takes care of Bom kindly. Meanwhile, Bom quickly notices strange details and realizes Jang-Mi is older than she claims.
She even overhears the name Keum-Bo. With her secret at risk, Keum-Bo has no choice but to make a deal. In exchange for Bom’s silence, she allows the little girl to stay with her mother, proving she is softer than she appears.
