Dare You To Death Episode 6 Recap: Jade Wins the Illegal Boxing Match

Jade takes on an illegal boxing match against an opponent twice his size, who keeps fighting dirty. At the same time, tensions rise elsewhere as Seon Jae and Kamin aim guns at each other. Seon Jae says Jade is just Kamin’s subordinate and not worth trading a life for. Kamin strongly disagrees, insisting that Jade is more than that to him.

Meanwhile, the fight turns brutal. Jade gets stabbed in the ring, and gunshots ring out around Kamin. Seon Jae eventually escapes, while Jade pushes through, finishes the match, and wins. However, he collapses afterward, weakened by his injury. Later, seeing Jade alive, both sides feel relieved.

When Jade and Kamin return home safely, Kamin keeps his promise. Since Jade won, Kamin stays the night in his room and even lets him cuddle him to sleep.

Jade Suspects His Brother, Jay

Jay goes to Tonkla’s workplace and witnesses him being brutally crushed to death. However, someone knocks Jay out, causing him to lose consciousness. The next morning, Kamin and Jade arrive at the crime scene and discover a “truth” card on the floor. Jade assumes it is fake since the first set of cards is already in their possession, unaware that it belongs to another set meant for Tonkla.

Later, Jay wakes up in the hospital and immediately breaks down over Tonkla’s death. When Kamin asks what he saw, Jay says he cannot remember much, only that Tonkla was already lying still when he arrived and that a man attacked him. Afterward, Kamin and Jade leave. Jade suspects Jay is lying or may have harmed himself since he was the only one there. However, Kamin disagrees, saying Jay is not ruthless enough to kill someone.

In the end, Jade senses something more unsettling. He feels the culprit is always one step ahead, knowing their every move. Because of this, he starts to suspect that the killer might be someone from the inside.

Can Jade Separate Work from Personal Matters?

Jade and Kamin meet Lee and Yu, who reveal they found ketamine and the same acids previously discovered in Bell’s case in The Wild Hunt. The two conclude that the culprit might be sourcing all of his materials from there.

After Jade steps away to call for an emergency meeting, Yu explains that he, Lee, and Jade were once close friends who trained together in the Special Investigation Unit. When Kamin asks why Jade left the unit, Yu reveals the truth: Jade was dismissed before finishing his training because he helped Yu during a test. The coach saw this as emotional weakness, believing that anyone who cannot separate duty from emotion is unfit. Before leaving, Yu thanks Kamin for bringing Jade back to life and asks him to take care of him.

Later, Kamin heads to the forensic lab, where tests confirm that Tonkla’s body is positive for ketamine. The team begins to see this as the killer’s pattern. When Kamin asks if Puifai also tested positive, the forensic doctor admits he did not request her autopsy report. Kamin later requests it from the previous forensic doctor who handled her body.

Meanwhile, Jade stays behind with Jay. When Jade claims he can separate work from personal matters, Jay questions him until Jade finally admits he cannot anymore. Jade worries that if Kamin finds out, he will be dismissed again. Jay tells him to stop forcing himself to be someone he is not and reminds him that it may be better to work by letting his heart lead.

Jade and Kamin’s Relationship Is Now More Than Boss and Subordinate

Jade opens up to Kamin, admitting that when they went to The Wild Hunt, all he could think about was Kamin. Even in danger, his only concern was him. Kamin confesses he felt the same way. This leads Jade to ask if they are more than just boss and subordinate. Kamin answers that it has been that way for a long time—Jade was simply the last to realize it. The night ends with the two growing closer and becoming intimate.

Meanwhile, the episode reveals that the person who attacked Jay is Time, who also turns out to be the owner of the white car Kamin has been searching for.

The episode closes with an epilogue in which Kamin wonders what would happen if they received the cards like the others. Without hesitation, Jade says he will protect him. They agree to compete to catch the serial killer, but Jade makes his stance clear: he will do everything he can to keep Kamin safe—not out of duty, but out of choice. “You can protect yourself, but I’ll protect you myself,” he says, sealing it with a kiss.
