Burnout Syndrome Episode 6 Recap: Jira feels it’s too soon to sleep with Pheem
After their date, Pheem and Jira go to Jira’s house and almost get intimate. But Jira stops midway, saying it’s too soon. Pheem says he understands, but he feels disappointed and later sleeps with another girl.
The next day, Pheem vents to Mawin about his growing obsession with Jira, especially when things don’t go his way. He worries whether Jira feels the same. He admits that the more obsessed he becomes, the more interested he gets. Meanwhile, Koh checks on both Pheem and Jira, asking why neither answered his calls the night before. They each give separate excuses, hinting that they weren’t together.
Later, on the way to meet Koh, Jira runs into Pheem at the elevator. He asks if they are okay after what happened. Pheem admits he was disappointed but more worried about how Jira feels. Jira explains that he was just serious about their relationship. He wants to know Pheem better first, not just the good side.
Koh kisses Jira to inspire him to draw
Earlier, Koh calls Jira and tells him to come quickly—he has a surprise: a bouquet of tulips. He instructs the florists to prepare them, says that Jira will fall in love with him once he receives them. Koh gives the bouquet to Jira, but Jira says it’s not his favorite. Koh then proposes a game: if he guesses Jira’s favorite flower, Jira must work overtime to draw him again, saying it will help him appreciate his art better.
Later, Koh returns to the florist and orders bouquets of iris and narcissus—the flowers he noticed Jira had included in his drawings. He gives Jira the narcissus first, but it’s still not his favorite. Then he presents the iris, Jira’s favorite, he won so he asks him to work overtime drawing him. Jira, who had plans to meet Pheem, cancels, leaving Pheem disappointed. Meanwhile, Koh has his butler fill the house with flowers to inspire Jira, and calls Pheem to come over.
As Koh lies in his usual pose, Jira complains that it’s repetitive and that he can’t get into the mood. Koh pulls him closer and guides his hand to his face to spark inspiration. Jira pushes him away and starts sketching. The tension escalates when Koh suddenly kisses him. After the kiss, they stay silent, staring at each other—until Pheem arrives and sees them.

Koh tells Pheem and Jira to stop their relationship
Confused by why Koh stands half-naked in front of Jira and why the house is filled with flowers, Pheem asks why Koh called him over. Koh confronts them about the relationship they’ve both been hiding from him. He saw Pheem leaving Jira’s house the night before, when neither answered his calls. Angry, he snaps, “He lied to you to be with me. You lied to me to be with him,” and tells them to stop seeing each other—or resign if they refuse.
Pheem resigns and asks Jira to leave with him. Jira tries to follow, but Koh stops him. He reminds Jira that he is the only one who truly values his art. In tears, Jira stays behind and watches Pheem walk away.
In the end, the flowers and the whole setup were part of Koh’s plan to confront them. He never meant to flirt with Jira. Later, Jira leaves the bouquet of tulips Koh gave him. Koh stares at the flowers, quietly worried that Jira might be angry with him.
