The horror of misunderstandings
The two girls dress up, and Uyeon can’t help but notice how pretty Yerim looks. She steps out for a moment, unaware that Gijeong has arrived dressed up as a vampire. He tries to tease Uyeon, not realizing that she thinks he lied to her. When he notices how Uyeon did not respond to his antics, he gently asks her what’s wrong, but Uyeon only dismisses him. Yerim calls Gijeong’s name at that precise moment, and her presence in the club catches him off guard.
Gijeong wastes no time and pulls Uyeon aside, insisting they speak in private. He tries to warn her about Yerim’s true nature, but Uyeon refuses to believe him. She calmly mentions that Yerim even claims to be his ex, leaving Gijeong stunned by Uyeon’s indifference. Now feeling offended, Gijeong asks Uyeon if she’s not bothered about it.
Their conversation quickly reaches an impasse. Uyeon’s nonchalant reply to Gijeong only deepens the rift, leaving both of them frustrated and emotionally charged.
Uyeon’s friends take matters into their own hands
Meanwhile, Uyeon’s friends Yeom Sera (Eun Yeo Jin) and Jo Mirae (Chae Soo Ha) unexpectedly run into Yerim’s bully friends. A fight erupts, quickly escalating into a full-blown schoolyard-style brawl.
Daeoh happens to be in the area and, seeing Sera being ganged up on, hesitantly jumps in to help. The fight eventually lands the group at the police station, where it’s revealed that the bullies are actually acquaintances of Yerim, adding another layer to the drama.
Back at the Spirit Fingers club, the tension continues to simmer. Gijeong deliberately tries to make Uyeon jealous, agreeing to do things he normally wouldn’t, like letting Yerim sit on his lap for a couple pose. Uyeon grows increasingly uncomfortable with the situation but, unsure how to react, remains silent.
A long-awaited confession
Uyeon receives a call from Mirae, who informs her that they are at the police station. Worried, Uyeon rushes to see her friends. At the station, Mirae explains everything about Yerim and her group, and Uyeon finally realizes Gijeong had been telling the truth, but she was too blinded to see it.
That night, Uyeon reflects on the past few weeks. She realizes how Gijeong has always been there for her in her darkest moments. She reminds herself that if she loses Gijeong, it’s because she’s owed it after taking him for granted.
Just then, Gijeong appears and Uyeon runs toward him to apologize, but Gojeong only insists it was all his fault. Amid his outburst, Uyeon pulls him into a hug, reassuring him that it’s okay. During the heartfelt exchange, Uyeon confesses that she likes him too. Thinking he must have misheard, Gijeong was at a loss for words, but when Uyeon turns away, he pulls her into a back hug, saying he likes her more.
Another romance blooms in Spirit Fingers episode 8
Meanwhile, Geurin is still lamenting the fact that Seonho is enlisting soon and realizes her own feelings for him. She wonders about the possibility of Seonho liking someone else and, in the process, finally confronts her own feelings. Just then, she receives a call from Seonho asking to meet.
When they meet, Geurin admits to Seonho that it’s difficult for her to imagine them as a couple and doing things couples do like kissing. When she says she couldn’t imagine kissing Seonho, he leans in and does just that, leaving her frozen in surprise. Before Seonho could walk too far, she goes after him and kisses him, this time with equal passion.
