Tae Joong strikes back as Yo Han pulls the trigger in The Manipulated episode 6.
After Yo Han’s (Doh Kyung Soo) prison race announcement, alliances between the inmates began to form, and the prisoners realized that survival might matter more than victory in The Manipulated episode 6.

The Manipulated Episode 6 Recap: Ji Yong’s Desperate Plea
Ji Yong (Lee Jae Kyoon) continues to push for an alliance with Tae Joong (Ji Chang Wook), even revealing his plans for the prize money. But Tae Joong remains cold and cautious. “Are you sure this is safe?” he asks, aware that Deok Su (Yang Dong Geun) and his crew are watching them closely. Ji Yong insists it’s fine, after all, he was asked to spy on Tae Joong. Still, Tae Joong’s only reply is a firm, “I’m not interested.”
Meanwhile, other inmates begin forming alliances of their own, sensing the storm that’s about to come.
The prisoners start consulting with Yo Han, hoping to gain favor. First up is Do Gang Jae (Eum Moon Suk), who offers to be Yo Han’s slave. But Yo Han laughs off the proposal. “I don’t think you’d want me as a mid-to-long-term partner,” he says, amused. Gang Jae presses on, claiming he’s not after the money—he wants the network. Yo Han checks his profile but remains unmoved. “I’ll think about it,” he says coolly.
Then comes Deok Su, who has a darker request. “What I really want is to kill one of these sons of bitches with my own hands.” Yo Han chuckles and tells him to do it during the race, but not to give up the prize money.
No Rules, Just Rage
With no rules in place, the prisoners realize they can do anything. Sabotage becomes the name of the game. Ji Yong’s sportscar, rumored to be developed with Tae Joong’s help, becomes the main target.
Moreover, as prisoners clash and sabotage each other, Ji Yong rushes back to the garage to warn Tae Joong. They fix the car and speed off, crashing through the chaos. Deok Su and the others chase them, turning the race into a life-or-death pursuit. Yo Han and Do Kyung (Lee Kwang Soo) monitor everything from above.
Deok Su isn’t just after the car, he wants Tae Joong dead. As he’s about to strike, Yo Han stops the chaos as they cannot go on a race being injured.
Everyone Wants Tae Joong Dead
Tae Joong later meets with Yo Han. “I enjoyed your practice game last night,” Yo Han greets him. But Tae Joong is suspicious. From a vantage point, he observes the facility and asks, “This isn’t really about a race, is it?”

When asked what he needs, Tae Joong simply requests vitamins. Yo Han hands them over, but Tae Joong leaves them behind, clearly toying with him. That night, Tae Joong adds extra protection to his car.
Yo Han finally accepts Gang Jae’s offer of partnership and gives him a mysterious gift for the race. The rules? First to finish 20 laps wins. No rules. No mercy. Everyone is out for revenge, especially against Tae Joong. Yo Han and Do Kyung eagerly anticipate the dogfight.
As the race heats up, Yo Han feels a strange familiarity with Tae Joong. Then it hits him, Tae Joong is one of his past victims. Enraged, he orders Gang Jae to go after him. The “gift” he gave? A gun.
Gang Jae and Tae Joong clash violently. Do Kyung, who bet on Tae Joong, is furious. Everyone is after him—even Deok Su, who carries a knife to stab him.
But the twist? Ji Yong is inside the car. Tae Joong is actually on a motorbike. Yo Han is impressed. Still, the hunt continues. Yo Han dares Gang Jae to use the gun if he truly wants to win.
Tae Joong’s Final Blow
Tae Joong wins the race—but Yo Han isn’t done. He announces a new rule: whoever catches Tae Joong, dead or alive, will win the race. And he’ll double the prize money. As Tae Joong tries to escape, Deok Su catches him. They fight brutally, and Deok Su manages to stab him. One by one, the prisoners join the brawl.
Yo Han, annoyed by Tae Joong’s determination, steps out with a gun. He aims directly at him, determined to kill. But Tae Joong outsmarts him again, with an explosion that bombs the entire facility while he escapes with his motorbike.
Meamwhile, what began as a race for freedom has turned into a blood-soaked battle, where survival is the only prize that matters.
