Earlier this year, JTBC announced its series line-up, which includes the premiere of Waiting for Gyeongdo this coming December 2025 on Prime Video.
What happens when love meets fame and fate?
Waiting for Gyeongdo is a comedy romance drama that follows the lives of two young adults, Lee Gyeong Do (Seo Jun) and Seo Ji Woo (Ji An), who fell in love during their youth but eventually parted ways. Years later, they reunite in their late 20s—only to separate once more.

Gyeong Do later becomes an entertainment journalist at Dongwoon Ilbo, while Ji Woo rises to fame as a celebrity and the second daughter of Jarim Apparel. Her glamorous life takes a dramatic turn when Gyeong Do exposes her husband’s affair, leading to their unexpected reunion—and a chance to rekindle the romance they once shared.
What to expect so far
On October 15, 2025, JTBC released the first stills of Park Seo Jun during the drama’s filming.
The stills gave us a glimpse of office worker Gyeong Do, who may appear weary but clearly reflects what he was going through and how tough his job seems to be.
Waiting for Gyeongdo will be directed by Lim Hyun Wook, known for the hit series King the Land, while the story is penned by Yoo Young-Ah, the writer behind the heartfelt series Thirty Nine.
Prime Video has yet to announce the official premiere date or release teaser trailers of the 12-episode series.
Will love find its way back again for Gyeong Do and Ji Woo?
