Together with the cast and their fans, Love, Siargao celebrated its mid-season milestone with a special screening at Robinsons Galleria.
The Viu Original series, Love, Siargao, has officially reached its halfway point since its June premiere. To mark the beginning of its latter half, Viu Philippines held an exclusive screening on July 26 at Robinsons Galleria. The event brought together the cast of Love, Siargao and their beloved fans for a brief yet unforgettable afternoon.
Series leads Nadine Lustre and Alden Richards were among the cast present during the screening. Joining the on-screen partners were Kyline Alcantara, Kim Jisoo, AZ Martinez, Vince Maristela, Kakki Teodoro, and Christopher Diwata.
Love, Siargao follows Kara (Nadine Lustre) and Jao (Alden Richards) as their lives become increasingly entangled because of the infamous “Siargao curse.” According to the curse, setting foot in Siargao can either make you want to stay forever or break up with your partner. When Jao flies to the breathtaking island of Siargao to find his estranged girlfriend, he ends up meeting the local tour guide Kara and discovers far more than he expected.
The Reveals: Mid-Season Poster and Behind-the-Scenes Series
Before the screening began, the mid-season poster for Love, Siargao was officially unveiled to the attendees. It featured Kara and Jao enjoying a canoe ride while seemingly moments away from a kiss. The snapshot gives a glimpse of the kilig-filled moments ahead from our lead couple as the drama unfolds. In response, the fans erupted in loud cheers while the cast watched them with bright smiles.
Each cast member also shared a personal message to thank the fans and the team that helped shape Love, Siargao. Most notably, Alden encouraged more creatives to create content that celebrates and highlights what’s ours:
More than the love story, I hope that this show will create inspiration for other content creators and content makers to make more projects that are intentional. Intentional, in a sense, that we promote and preserve what’s already ours and we showcase and show the world that we have something to be proud of.
Another surprise was announced as the event came to a close: the official behind-the-scenes series titled “Love, Karajao,” out August 5. The upcoming special will give viewers an inside look into the making of the Viu Original series while appreciating Siargao’s stunning landscapes. Moreover, fans will also get to see the memorable off-screen moments of their favorite stars throughout filming.
