CATCH THE YOUNG electrified Berlin’s K-INDIE ON FESTIVAL 2026 with a 13-song set, blending youthful energy, alternative rock, and crowd favorites.
CATCH THE YOUNG opened the 2026 K-INDIE ON Festival – No Borders, Just RocK! on September 19 at Säälchen in Berlin. The five-member band—NAMHYUN, KIHOON, SANI, JUNYONG, and JUNGMO—headlined the festival’s opening night.

Hosted by the Korean Cultural Center in Germany, K-INDIE ON Festival has introduced German audiences to Korean music beyond K-pop since 2023. The two-day event continued through September 20 at the Holzmarkt venue.
CATCH THE YOUNG Connects With Berlin
CATCH THE YOUNG delivered a 13-song set that highlighted their alternative pop-rock sound. The band performed “Amplify,” the title track from their debut full-length album, EVOLVE. They also surprised the Berlin crowd with a cover of Nena’s “99 Luftballons.”
The audience responded throughout the performance. Fans lit up the venue with their phone flashlights during the ballads. They then sang, cheered, and jumped along to the faster tracks.
The reaction grew even louder during “99 Luftballons.” The local favorite sparked one of the night’s biggest crowd responses.
SANI shared his appreciation for the experience. “The incredible passion and energy from the Berlin audience really pushed us to give it our all,” he said.
CATCH THE YOUNG built its identity around what it calls “YOUTH-POP ROCK.” The group blends alternative pop-rock with lyrics that capture the emotions and experiences of youth. Furthermore, the members’ vocal harmonies and live instrumentation shape their distinct sound.
From Berlin to Latin America
JUNGMO also reflected on the festival appearance. “It was a great opportunity for us to perform at K-INDIE ON FESTIVAL. I’m proud of all our members,” he said.

Following their Berlin performance, CATCH THE YOUNG will take their music to Latin America. The group will launch its first CATCH THE YOUNG LIVE EVOLVE: LATAM TOUR 2026 in Mexico City. The tour will also visit Puerto Rico, Buenos Aires, and Santiago.
Named after EVOLVE, the tour will give the band another opportunity to connect with fans across different regions. In addition, their Berlin appearance marks another step in CATCH THE YOUNG’s growing international presence.
