On July 10, Agent Kim Reactivated episode 5 premiered on Netflix. The episode follows Mr. Kim as he races against time to rescue Min-ji while confronting the new Number 66 and the Golden Teeth Gang. Moreover, long-hidden truths about the original Number 66 finally come to light, changing the course of their conflict. As Min-ji escapes from captivity, both Mr. Kim and his enemies launch a desperate search, leading to another tense cliffhanger.

Mr. Kim’s Promise to Min-ji in Agent Kim Reactivated Episode 5
Agent Kim Reactivated episode 5 opens with a flashback to 2014 as Mr. Kim and young Min-ji move into a new home. Han-su and Park Jin-cheol help them settle in, while Min-ji quietly slips away to a nearby playground without telling her father.
Curious, Min-ji wanders into Jeilwon Senior Welfare Center and accidentally gets locked inside after falling asleep. She later climbs out through a window with the help of a high school student before returning home.
Meanwhile, Mr. Kim desperately searches for his daughter. When Min-ji finally returns, he breaks down in tears and asks her never to disappear without telling him again. Min-ji comforts her father, showing the close bond they share.
A Dangerous Pursuit
The story then returns to the present, where Golden Teeth discovers that Min-ji is still alive. He immediately summons his men, but Mr. Kim storms the gang’s office and defeats the thugs waiting inside. After the fight, Sang-man reveals everything that happened to Min-ji. Enraged, Mr. Kim vows to kill everyone involved if his daughter has truly died.
Elsewhere, Park Jin-cheol escapes from the Special Missions Directorate agents during the chaos. At the same time, Mr. Kim chases another gang member, eventually forcing the thug’s vehicle off the road.
Han-su rescues Mole Cricket from the river before finding Jin-cheol nearby. The two arm themselves and split up, each heading toward Myeongpo Port to support Mr. Kim. Before Mr. Kim reaches the cold storage facility, another group of gang members blocks his path. Nevertheless, he defeats them and continues his search.
Truth Behind Number 66
Inside the cold storage, Golden Teeth offers Min-ji a deal and asks her to stay silent about everything that happened. However, she firmly refuses.
Meanwhile, Mr. Kim reaches the port but the new Number 66 crashes into him with a car, forcing another fierce battle between the two. During the fight, Number 66 accuses Mr. Kim of murdering his older brother and demands revenge.
The episode then shifts to a flashback showing the younger days of the original Number 66 and Mr. Kim. The two trained together and gradually formed a close friendship. Before an important mission, Number 66 asks Mr. Kim not to forget him.
During that operation, Number 66 loses a leg after an explosion. Although Mr. Kim desperately tries to save him, the injuries prove fatal. Before dying, Number 66 stops Mr. Kim from taking his own life and tells him to survive no matter what.
Another flashback later reveals that Major Ri Eung-ryeong betrayed both operatives by leaking information about their mission. The revelation finally convinces the new Number 66 that Mr. Kim never betrayed his older brother.
Agent Kim Reactivated Episode 5 Recap: The Search Continues
While the confrontation unfolds, Min-ji struggles to stay warm inside the cold storage. She remembers her father and takes advantage of an opportunity to escape by trapping Golden Teeth inside the freezer.
After learning the truth, Mr. Kim leaves the fight and rushes back to search for Min-ji. However, by the time he reaches the cold storage, she has already escaped. Soon after, Mr. Ju’s men arrive at the port and begin searching the area. Min-ji hides inside a nearby room, while Mr. Kim discovers a handwritten apology she left behind.
Although Min-ji hears Mr. Kim calling her name, she mistakes his voice for a hallucination and runs away. She climbs over the port fence and escapes into the heavy rain, with Mr. Kim following closely behind.
Meanwhile, Han-su buys an old motorcycle while Jin-cheol steals Mole Cricket’s wallet and empties his bank accounts before driving away in an SMD vehicle.
Elsewhere, Mr. Ju’s men torture Golden Teeth and prepare to frame him for Min-ji’s supposed murder. Golden Teeth survives the attack and reveals that Min-ji escaped alive, forcing the group to change their plans and continue the search.
Eventually, Mr. Kim reaches National Highway 87 and discovers a CCTV camera near the road. He asks the laundromat owner to trace Min-ji’s movements using the footage.
At the same time, Mole Cricket orders the Special Missions Directorate to locate Min-ji before Mr. Kim can reach her. However, the episode ends with a shocking twist as Min-ji unknowingly rides away inside Mr. Ju’s vehicle.
Agent Kim Reactivated episode 5 delivers an emotional balance of action and character development as it deepens Mr. Kim’s bond with Min-ji through heartfelt flashbacks. The episode also answers key questions about the original Number 66 while raising the stakes with multiple groups racing to find Min-ji. Its fast-paced storytelling and suspenseful ending make it one of the series’ strongest episodes so far.
