CHASER release the “My Promise” lyric video and Gonna Be Alright 7-inch, delivering heartfelt skate punk anthems about hope and unity.
Southern California skate punk band CHASER has released a new lyric video for “My Promise” alongside their limited-edition Gonna Be Alright 7-inch release.
Created by @fluidcovers, the video showcases a refreshed version of one of the band’s most personal tracks. CHASER originally released “My Promise” as an acoustic song on their 2010 album The Big Picture. The band has now transformed it into a powerful melodic skate punk anthem while keeping its emotional message intact.
Moreover, Gonna Be Alright arrives as a special release while CHASER works on their upcoming full-length album. The two-song 7-inch gives fans new versions of “My Promise” and Bob Marley’s iconic “Three Little Birds.” Both tracks share messages of hope, love, positivity, and resilience.
The band expressed their excitement about sharing the release with fans. CHASER explained that although they are still preparing their next full album, they wanted to create something special before their summer tours. They also shared their belief that fans will enjoy singing along to these songs during live performances.
Vocalist Mike LeDonne revealed that he wrote “My Promise” for his daughter after she was born in 2006. The song reflects his promise to protect and support the people he loves. Nearly 20 years later, the new version brings a different perspective on parenthood while maintaining the same heartfelt message.
The release also features CHASER’s energetic interpretation of Bob Marley’s “Three Little Birds.” The band transforms the reggae classic into a fast-paced punk anthem while preserving its original themes of optimism and unity.

Bassist Jesse Stopnitzky shared that “Three Little Birds” holds a special meaning for him because it was the first song he sang to his son in the hospital. CHASER reworked the track with their own punk influence while keeping its uplifting spirit. The band describes the song as a reminder that positive energy and hope remain important, especially during challenging times.
Recorded, mixed, and mastered by Paul Miner at Buzzbomb Studios in Orange, California, Gonna Be Alright also features artwork from punk artists Mark De Salvo and Samuel Lucas. Their designs reflect the release’s themes of hope, brightness, and positivity.
CHASER members Mike LeDonne, Jesse Stopnitzky, Bill Hockmuth, and Davey Guy continue to represent the melodic skate punk scene through constant touring and their positive approach to music. Since 2018, the band has performed across Europe, Canada, and the United States, appearing at festivals such as Brakrock Eco Fest, Music 4 Cancer, Envol Macadam, Jera On Air, Punk Rock Holiday, and Punk In The Park.
Furthermore, Gonna Be Alright offers more than a release between albums. The 7-inch and “My Promise” lyric video highlight CHASER’s signature strengths, including emotional songwriting, memorable melodies, and a belief that music can connect people. Fans can purchase vinyl copies of Gonna Be Alright at CHASER shows and through the band’s online store.
