The title itself carries two meanings. “Gotcha” commonly means “I found you” or “I’ve got you.” At the same time, VIBY draws inspiration from the excitement of a gachapon capsule toy. The five members begin the story with a mission: find “TOMO the puppy.” Their search takes them through the amusement park before leading them to an unexpected encounter with TOMO. Along the way, the members and fans experience the day’s adventures together.
Furthermore, the video ends with a simple but meaningful message: friends, forever from now on.
That message will take on an even greater meaning when VIBY performs “Gotcha” at their Nippon Budokan debut showcase on 31 August. The group will transform the song from a recording into a shared experience with the fans who inspired it.
