CASANDRA is back after her EP last May – this time, it’s a 13-track album titled ISLA TRANQUILITA.
ISLA TRANQUILITA (translating to “little island of peace”) is CASSANDRA’s new album released on love letter July 24, 2026. The album is a love letter to her Cuban roots and late great-aunt Teresa, who helped keep those traditions alive throughout her childhood in Miami.
Teresa would remind CASANDRA to “tranquilita” whenever life felt overwhelming, encouraging her to find stillness and peace amid chaos. Now, CASANDRA continues to carry that message forward though music.
The album has 13 tracks that invites listeners deeper into CASANDRA’s richly imagined world, where she creates a sanctuary where family memories, hidden truths, and reclaimed roots can exist in harmony. She transforms a deeply personal story of heritage, healing, and remembrance into a cinematic musical journey.
She blends contemporary R&B with Cuban soul, alt-pop, and electronic influences. The album unfolds like a dreamlike escape, where vibrant rhythms meet intimate storytelling. It moves fluidly between moments of joy, longing, grief, and healing.
This expands upon CASANDRA’s already released EP with the same name. There are seven new tracks – “MUÑEQUITA,” “FELL FROM A TREE THEY SAID,” “HOURGLASS,” “BUENA SUERTA,” “SUMMON FIRE,” “RESERVED 4 ME,” and “TEARPROOF.”
CASANDRA’s music has always served as both a mirror and sanctuary. It is an intimate space where imagination, sensuality, healing, and freedom converge for her. She was homeschooled for much of her childhood, thus she has developed a deep connection to self-expression and her own inner landscape from an early age. It has become the foundation that her artistry builds from up to day.
