New York City singer‑songwriter Sweetbreads, project of Melody Stolpp, unveils two new singles, “Ben” and “Satisfy.” Both tracks will be part of her debut album, Punisher of Love. The songs present distinct yet connected snapshots of emotions explored further on the album.
Sweetbreads has become known for heartfelt live performances since dedicating herself to music in 2020. Her collaborative spirit has fostered a growing creative community around her work. It’s my one and only unrequited love song. Looking back, it feels like a sweet little time capsule for a very rough year. Now I see it as a tribute to my younger self and to all the naive hearts who find themselves in complicated situationships.
In contrast, “Satisfy” turns inward as Sweetbreads explores the quiet ways people abandon themselves seeking acceptance. She reveals her own struggle with people‑pleasing through three fictional characters. Sweetbreads also reflects on her decision to release both tracks together,
