Lily Lane - So Long, California

Lily Lane unveils her latest single, “So Long, California,” a personal track about moving on from a place you once thought was your dream.

Singer-songwriter Lily Lane is back with her new single, “So Long, California.” Written by Lily herself, the track intimately explores her different emotions as she steps into a new chapter.

Right from the start, her emotive vocals draw you in as if you’re in the room with her. It’s Lily at her most vulnerable, accompanied by self-reflective lyrics and moody instrumentals.

Some say that it’s the good life
But most smiles don’t reach the eyes
I’ll miss you, but I’ll be just fine
So long, California

After spending years of her life on the West Coast, Lily made the difficult decision to return to New York. Her choice ultimately became something she fought to grasp, which led to the song’s creation. Los Angeles was her dream, yet it didn’t feel like home.

In her words, “It almost felt like LA didn’t deserve to be broken up with. But just because something isn’t bad doesn’t mean it is right for you.”

Lily on the Rise

Over the years, Lily’s music has been featured in various projects, from major video streaming services to beauty campaigns. One of her most notable releases was “Nothin’ But Trouble,” which was previously heard in Pretty Little Liars.

In addition, she isn’t a stranger to being on stage, having already experienced headlining a sold-out show at The Peppermint Club and performing at music festivals. Moreover, she has shared the stage with big names including Big Time Rush, JoJo, and Hot Chelle Rae.

Shortly after the release of her 2025 EP Domesticated, Lily also got to perform at the Harper’s Bazaar x Crystal Waters Cover Party during New York Fashion Week and later on at an inclusive lingerie runway show. Aside from music, she prides herself on being an artist who advocates for women, LGBTQ+ rights, body positivity, and self-expression.
