Maddie Regent was born and raised in Toronto, Canada. She is now based in Los Angeles with a flourishing musical career. She crafts songs blending romance, anxiety, fantasy, heartbreak. Drawing from childhood experiences with her music, she resonates strongly with audiences.
The singer-songwriter began writing songs at the age of 12 years old. She spent her growing years staging plays for family and escaping fictional worlds. This led her to channel imagination into expansive, narrative songwriting that romanticizes life’s beauty.
A fearless new era
“See Me” explores the vulnerability of being fully known by someone else. Maddie wrote the track with her creative partner and fiancé, producer‑songwriter Cade Hoppe. “See Me” is about how the last piece of yourself to show someone is the side that gets cold feet and leaves them at the train station with your bag. Now suddenly this stranger knows you better than anyone else, and I don’t think there’s anything more romantic than that.
Maddie started pursuing music during her college years, collaborating with other writers and producers. Since debuting in 2021, Maddie Regent has released acclaimed EPs: MISS REGENT and Girl of Your Dreams. Four years later in 2025, she debuted her full-length album, On the phone with my mom.
