Zendaya’s now-iconic looks from The Odyssey press tour prove that she owns the red carpet game. No one even comes close!
Was there ever any doubt that Zendaya would slay the highly anticipated The Odyssey press tour? The 29-year-old actress was cast as the goddess Athena in Christopher Nolan‘s latest adaptation of the Greek epic, and she evoked every inch of the mythological goddess. From Schiaparelli haute couture to vintage Givenchy by Alexander McQueen, the pioneer of red-carpet “method dressing” pulled out all the stops in showcasing her godly glamour.
While Zendaya still has a good many years to show off her distinct red carpet style, this impressive run will be one for the books. She looked elegant and ethereal at every appearance, further solidifying her status as a true movie goddess.
These were some of her best looks.
Matières Fécales Haute Couture
The fairly new French couture label, Matières Fécales, couldn’t have asked for a better celebrity to put them on the map. At the movie’s New York premiere, Zendaya wore the closing look from the brand’s debut fall 2025 haute couture show, which featured a draped ivory-hued gown with feathered wings that trailed all the way to the floor.
This was one of those instances wherein only a fashion icon could pull off such an extravagant outfit. Others would’ve made it look too costumey, perhaps even anime-like; Zendaya offered a serene sophistication that only comes from someone who truly loves fashion.
Schiaparelli Fall 2026 Haute Couture
Zendaya’s Schiaparelli haute couture look at The Odyssey London premiere went viral for two reasons. The first is that the actress herself looked phenomenal, a true Grecian goddess brought to life in that illuminated, body-molded number. The second is how quickly she got to wear the gown.
Famed stylist Law Roach was in the front row at Schiaparelli’s fall 2026 haute couture show in Paris, where the dress first appeared. Less than 24 hours later, it ended up on Zendaya at the red carpet in London. Such is the A-list star and her A-list stylist’s dedication to turning out iconic looks for this one-in-a-lifetime promotional tour.

Custom Jacquemus
A natural beauty like Zendaya doesn’t need all the bells and whistles to look like a goddess on the red carpet. She already proved it when she sported a vintage $35 Spider-Man t-shirt from eBay at the Spider-Man: Brand New Day fan event in Paris earlier this year. And at a promotional event for The Odyssey in London, she wore a simple custom Jacquemus column gown with an attached headscarf that fit her to a T!
The pearl white look was on the simpler side compared to everything she’s worn before and since. It also had an ancient Mediterranean tinge to it, fitting for the movie’s setting, and even when paired with showstopping gold earrings, Zendaya’s pure beauty still took center stage.
Valentino Fall 2026
Her final look for the press tour’s London stop is a romantic Valentino dress from the label’s fall 2026 collection. Draped in deep dove gray and paired with intricate braids, she was giving ancient Greek statue discovered among the temple ruins in Athens. Even her light makeup look added a marble-like finish, almost as if she went all Night at the Museum to appear on the red carpet.
Despite its intricate design, this Valentino number was among the actress’s more accessible looks in the sense that others can copy it. It’s a simple, flattering silhouette that anyone else can wear, but of course, only Zendaya can look like a full-blown marble goddess statue in it!

Custom Louis Vuitton
Look up the word ‘fabulous’ in the dictionary, and you’ll find this custom lace dress with a matching ruffled bolero that Louis Vuitton made for Zendaya. The actress’s regal bearing was on full display here, which not only brought out her goddess looks but also gave her a queenly appeal. Even without the context of the movie, Zendaya still gave “socialite couture client from the 1980s,” when Yves Saint Laurent and Hubert de Givenchy still reigned supreme.
Louis Vuitton’s creative director Nicholas Ghesquiere designed the outfit himself, which was also a notable nod to his iconic spring 2006 collection for Balenciaga. A master of his craft, the French designer came up with the perfect look to start Zendaya’s press tour stop in Paris.
Givenchy Haute Couture Spring 1997
Zendaya cultivated her fashion icon status with her love for memorable vintage fashion. She practically popularized wearing decades-old couture on the red carpet, and this time, it’s 90s Givenchy! The actress wore the iconic white structured suit the late Alexander McQueen designed for the house’s spring 1997 haute couture show, complete with the intricate Philip Treacy chapeau, on a photo op in front of the Eiffel Tower.
It’s often considered a fashion faux pas when you step out in the exact same runway look from head to toe, but it’s a different story with Zendaya. With her supermodel looks and perfect poise, it’s not an exaggeration to say that she looked even better than the model on the runway.
Alberta Ferretti Fall 2008
Zendaya’s daytime look at the movie’s New York premiere was a nice little throwback to early 2010s fashion. Not only was her dress from Alberta Ferretti’s fall 2008 collection, but she paired it with knee-high gladiator heels that look straight out of 2011. The outfit may look passé according to today’s Y2K-centered trends, but naturally, Zendaya makes it work.
Doesn’t it look like the perfect date outfit, too? It won’t be hard to get your hands on an equally floaty and fringed dress and a pair of gladiator heels to wear on movie date night. And the film of choice? The Odyssey, of course!

Catch Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey in theaters starting July 17, 2026. The latest adaptation of Homer’s epic poem stars Matt Damon, Tom Holland, Anne Hathaway, Zendaya, Lupita Nyong’o, Charlize Theron, John Leguizamo, and Mia Goth.
