Atarayo reflect on love, time, and longing in “魚 Fish,” the latest preview of their upcoming album “私雨に夏の灯を知る Watakushiameninatsunohiwoshiru.”
Japanese band Atarayo return with “魚 Fish,” a heartfelt new single that explores the emotions of holding on when time feels like it is slipping away.
Centered on the lingering question, “Have we still got time?”, the song embraces uncertainty instead of searching for easy answers. As a result, it captures the quiet longing that comes with knowing some moments cannot last forever.

“魚 Fish” unfolds between hope and acceptance. The lyrics express the desire to spend just a little more time with someone or something precious, even while sensing that goodbye is drawing closer.
Moreover, delicate piano melodies blend with a full-band arrangement to create a warm yet emotionally restless atmosphere. The mid-tempo track balances the nostalgia of summer with a lingering sense of vulnerability, making its message feel both intimate and universally relatable.
Rather than relying on dramatic storytelling, Atarayo allows the song’s melody and emotion to speak for themselves. Consequently, “魚 Fish” delivers an understated but powerful listening experience that invites audiences to return again and again.
A New Album and Expanding Tour
“魚 Fish” offers another glimpse into Atarayo’s upcoming album, “私雨に夏の灯を知る Watakushiameninatsunohiwoshiru,” which arrives on August 19. The nine-track record also includes the previously released singles “ハク Haku” and “春となり Spring is coming.”
Furthermore, the band revealed the album artwork on July 3 and confirmed that it will be available in both a standard edition and a Blu-ray video edition.
In addition to the new music, Atarayo continues to connect with fans across Asia through an extensive concert schedule. The band will perform a sold-out show in Malaysia on July 24 before heading to Bangkok on July 26.
Their Japan tour begins in Osaka on August 22 and continues through Aichi, Fukuoka, and Tokyo. Later this year, Atarayo will return overseas for three sold-out performances in Hong Kong this October, followed by a concert in Taipei this December.
