PREMIERE Condoms is turning modern dating into a digital-first love story with Almost Lovers, its new original TikTok series. Instead of relying on traditional campaigns, the brand uses entertainment to explore the excitement, uncertainty, and emotional twists that define relationships today. At the same time, it reinforces a simple message: while love can be complicated, staying safe should not be.

Today’s relationships unfold through coffee dates, late-night conversations, unread messages, and connections that often exist somewhere between friendship and commitment. Almost Lovers captures these familiar experiences through the story of Romeo and Julie. As a result, the series offers a relatable look at modern romance while encouraging responsible choices.
The series premiered on July 6 and follows Romeo and Julie as they navigate the highs and lows of dating. Told across 20 short episodes, each installment premieres every weekday at 7:00 p.m. Moreover, the bite-sized format reflects how many young Filipinos already consume stories on social media, making the experience feel both familiar and engaging.
Bringing Modern Romance to Life
Actress Karina Bautista leads the cast as Julie after building a strong portfolio in television and film following her breakout appearance on Pinoy Big Brother. She stars alongside Migs Almendras, whose recent performances have highlighted his versatility and emotional depth. They bring warmth and authenticity to a story centered on vulnerability, connection, and the uncertainty of love.

Behind the series is director and screenwriter Rodina Singh, who brings a thoughtful and character-driven approach to the project. Furthermore, her storytelling highlights the emotional realities of relationships without losing the lightness that makes romantic stories relatable. Singh said:
