Lauren Minear releases “‘Til The World Ends,” an emotional alt-pop single that explores global anxiety, motherhood, and love amid uncertainty.
New York-based alternative singer-songwriter Lauren Minear returns with her latest single, “‘Til The World Ends.” The cinematic alt-pop track explores fear, uncertainty, and the challenges of living in an unpredictable world. However, the song ultimately delivers a message of hope by showing that love remains the strongest response to hardship.
Minear wrote “‘Til The World Ends” in November 2024 following the U.S. presidential election. During that time, she felt overwhelmed by growing divisions and worried about the future her children would experience. She also found inspiration from dystopian stories, including several The Walking Dead spinoffs that explore themes of survival and separation.

The songwriter initially used the track to process her fears about the world. While writing at her piano, she reflected on difficult questions about society and the future. Furthermore, she discovered a simple answer beneath those worries: love.
Musically, “‘Til The World Ends” creates an emotional atmosphere filled with tension and reflection. Grammy-winning producer Scott Jacoby produced the track, combining organic instruments with modern production elements. The song begins with delicate piano arpeggios before expanding through contributions from guitarist Ben Butler, keyboardist Andrew Sherman, percussionist Doug Yowell, and fretless bassist Richard Hammond. In addition, Minear’s layered vocals during the bridge create a powerful and uplifting moment.
Motherhood remains a central influence in Minear’s music. With “‘Til The World Ends,” she reflects on the experience of raising children while facing an uncertain future. The song captures her fears as a parent while emphasizing the love and hope that guide her through them.
Through “‘Til The World Ends,” Minear transforms personal worries into a universal reminder that compassion and connection can provide comfort during difficult times.
