On April 24, two-time GRAMMY® Award-winning R&B artist Kehlani releases her fifth studio album, KEHLANI, as a birthday release.
A self-titled album often signals a personal statement. Here, Kehlani leans fully into that idea. She delivers raw, honest storytelling. Moreover, she pairs it with a lush, genre-blending sound that defines her place in modern R&B.
The album builds on three key singles. First, “Folded” emerged as a breakout anthem. It earned two GRAMMY® Awards for Best R&B Song and Best R&B Performance. In addition, it won R&B Song of the Year at the iHeartRadio Music Awards, where she also made her debut performance. The track gained further recognition with NAACP Image Award nominations and three American Music Award nods, including Song of the Year.
“Folded” has surpassed 800 million global streams. It peaked at No. 6 on the Billboard Hot 100 and remained on the chart for 43 weeks. Furthermore, it reached No. 1 across Urban, Rhythmic, and R&B radio formats, holding the Urban spot for 10 weeks. It also generated over 1.45 billion U.S. radio audience impressions. The track marked her first solo No. 1 on the Billboard Rhythmic Airplay chart and reached No. 22 on the Global 200.
