ARK IDENTITY releases new song called “Signals” and marks as a creative milestone for the singer.

Toronto indie artist and producer ARK IDENTITY is happy to announce the release of “Signals.” In this new track, he reportedly blends atmospheric dream pop and indie electronic textures to culminate in a post-hardcore finale.

“Signals” was created during songwriting camp. Noah Mroueh and Andrew Polychronopoulos were paired up for a sync brief. They set out to compose a blues-rock track at first, but ended up realizing that it wasn’t working.

They simply weren’t excited about it. After taking a break from their first project, they began a casual jam session that helped the creation of “Signals.”

The distinct opening is a result of Noah’s casual guitar finger picking that day. Andrew’s addition of drum loops and ambient textures also brought a new flavor into the track, one that they didn’t expect. In fact, Noah went on to say that the song “took on a life of its own.”

They have the song’s sudden consciousness to thank for the song’s deeply cathartic finale, brought about by distorted guitars and post-hardcore intensity. Noah shares:

It surprised me. It didn’t end up being the song we set out to make, but that’s what made it feel special. It came from letting go of the original plan and following what felt right in the moment. While we didn’t meet the sync brief, I’m proud of what we created together that day.

Signals” is indicative of the constant desire for connection within society. The “signals” are those that people continuously send, receive, misread, and even miss completely. It is also a creative milestone in the sense that its heavier and more explosive subject matter marks the project’s progress.

Check out this track as soon as possible! You won’t regret it!
