Ready your bowl cuts and bright clothes and expect to spend the whole night laughing – as Atsuko Okatsuka is coming back to Manila on November 15, 2026.
Award-winning comedian and actress Atsuko Okatsuka is coming back to Manila on November 15, 2026 for her The Big Bowl Tour. Her one night show will be at the New Frontier Theater. This time, she promises brand-new material for Filipino fans.
This is not Okatsuka’s first time here in Manila. She was here back in 2024 during her Full Grown tour. She had three sold-out shows then, which is a testament to the Filipino’s love for the comedian.
Radar.ph has described Okatsuka’s brand of comedy as the Asian identity that doesn’t need to be squeezed into a familiar stereotype to be funny.
Besides her tour, Okatsuka has two successful comedy specials. Her first one is an HBO special in 2022 titled “The Intruder.” The show made her the second Asian-American woman to release a comedy special, after Margaret Cho. Her most latest release was “Father” in 2025, examining her daily struggles and relationships, especially the distant and complicated one she has with her father in Japan. She is also set to have a comedy special in Netflix sometime in 2027, as reported by Variety.
