We Are All Trying Here episode 11 opens with Dong-man reflecting on his long-time admiration for Kang-sik’s acting. Furthermore, this admiration shapes how he behaves in the present. He sends Kang-sik a flood of messages. Kang-sik grows irritated, but he remains part of the production.

Back home, Dong-man talks to Jin-man about his plans. He insists he will help find Yeong-sil. However, Jin-man rejects the idea. He sends the money back to Dong-man and tells him to use it for himself instead. Moreover, Jin-man doubts they will even find her.

That night, Eun-a meets Dong-man. He proudly shares how happy he is that Kang-sik joined the project. In addition, he jokes that Gyeong-se must be fuming over the situation. Dong-man then shifts the conversation to Eun-a. He praises her openly and calls her perfect. Eun-a reacts with embarrassment, and she teases him for worshipping her. Dong-man fully embraces it, which makes the moment even more playful and warm.

Later, they meet the rest of the group. Mi-ran brings up Eun-a’s family situation. Eun-a explains her grandmother’s hospital stay and mentions that she still keeps contact with her stepmother.

Meanwhile, Mi-ran opens up about her own struggles. She reveals tensions between Jeong-hui and her father. Furthermore, she worries about a potential scandal due to Jeong-hui’s ongoing assault case. She even fears losing her mother completely. Eun-a understands her pain and empathizes deeply.

Elsewhere, Gyeong-se struggles with his screenplay. He loses motivation and falls behind. Hye-jin grows frustrated with his lack of progress. Moreover, she notices that his assistant, Jeong-min, contributes more ideas than Gyeong-se himself, which only increases the tension in their creative process.

Choi Asks Eun-a a Favor

While events unfold elsewhere, Jeong-hui attempts to settle the situation involving Hyeong-u and his girlfriend from Mi-ran’s scandal. She offers them 100 million won. However, Hyeong-u hesitates. He worries that public exposure will drag him further into the controversy.

Elsewhere, Eun-a meets Director Choi. They discuss the current state of the screenplay and the surrounding risks. Moreover, Choi proposes a 100 million won contract. This agreement would also pause Mi-ran’s contract due to the possibility of a criminal lawsuit.

Meanwhile, Dong-man arrives on set excitedly, like a child in a candy store. He watches Kang-sik and assumes he is acting. However, Kang-sik is actually arguing with a co-star in a real, heated exchange about performance.

Dong-man intervenes without hesitation. He advises the co-star not to quit and instead respond in kind to challenge Kang-sik. Hye-jin watches this unfold and grows increasingly frustrated.

Afterward, Hye-jin confronts Dong-man in the car. Furthermore, she scolds him for constantly inserting himself into situations without understanding the consequences. She criticizes his inability to handle conflicts with the necessary care and restraint.

Dong-man reflects on Hye-jin’s advice and considers staying quiet moving forward. However, Eun-a quickly talks him out of it. Furthermore, she jokes that he should handle about 80% of the talking when they are together. She says she does not mind at all. In addition, she admits she feels at ease around him and trusts his sincerity.

Their calm moment does not last long. Jeong-hui arrives and instantly shifts the atmosphere. The mood freezes. Tension fills the space. Dong-man tries to ease the situation, but he quickly realizes silence is the safer choice. Jeong-hui addresses Eun-a by her pseudonym, Yeong-sil. She questions why Eun-a resists her involvement in Knock, Knock, Knock as a lead.

Eun-a responds without hesitation. She criticizes Jeong-hui’s overwhelming ambition and her tendency to steamroll others. Moreover, Eun-a firmly stands by her own goals. She admits she has endured hardship to get where she is and believes she must pass through “hell” to reach the other side.

Jeong-hui strikes back harder. She accuses Eun-a of being driven by hatred toward her mother. She tells her to write her pain down and move on. However, Eun-a rejects that idea. The confrontation escalates. Eun-a’s nose begins to bleed under the emotional pressure. Finally, she leaves the bar abruptly, unable to continue the conversation.

Hye-jin and Gyeong-se’s Failing Marriage

That evening takes a painful turn for Hye-jin. She invites her husband to the Director’s after-party. He declines and claims he is too tired. However, he ignores that and secretly goes to the bar instead. There, he sits with Jeong-min at her table.

Hye-jin feels humiliated. The situation worsens when Gyeong-se notices his wife in the same space. He approaches her, and she immediately shifts her behavior. Furthermore, Hye-jin forces a cheerful tone and pretends to be overly excited about his work.

After a short exchange, she leaves the bar. Before walking away completely, she tells him to keep writing and stay happy, even if he is falling into a trap. Meanwhile, Gyeong-se calls after her and tries to shift blame. He suggests she failed to give him enough attention.

Elsewhere, Dong-man confronts Jae-yeong. The argument escalates quickly, and the two end up fighting in the street. After the fight, Dong-man goes to see Eun-a. He calmly tells her he now sees his life as one big comedy. Moreover, he admits that the jacket he once believed belonged to a Russian soldier was fake. He even laughs off losing a tooth, treating the chaos as part of his story instead of defeat.

Episode 11 of We Are All Trying Here deepens both emotional tension and character revelations. Dong-man’s discovery about Eun-a adds a new layer to their relationship and raises the stakes of their story. Meanwhile, Choi’s continued pressure on Eun-a highlights how power struggles shape the industry around them. In addition, Hye-jin and Gyeong-se’s deteriorating marriage adds a grounded, painful contrast to the creative chaos unfolding elsewhere.
