ROREY lays heartbreak bare on I Get It Now, exploring love, loss, miscommunication, and the painful choice to stop abandoning herself.
New York-based singer-songwriter and musician ROREY enters a more vulnerable chapter with her highly anticipated album, I Get It Now. The record confronts the painful reality that love cannot always make someone stay. More importantly, it explores what happens when holding onto a relationship means losing yourself.

Across the album, ROREY examines heartbreak through cycles of miscommunication, emotional distance, and difficult realizations. She turns those experiences into direct and deeply personal songwriting. As she puts it, “Some things are only meant to be experienced once, once in a lifetime. And love without choice is empty.”
The album reflects the emotional honesty that has shaped ROREY’s growing career. She has earned recognition from OnesToWatch, Zane Lowe, LADYGUNN, CLASH, Atwood Magazine, and other influential music outlets. Her songs have also landed on major Spotify editorial playlists, including Fresh Finds, Fresh Finds Indie, New Music Daily, and New in Pop.
From Early Songwriting to a Distinctive Sound
Born in Manhattan and raised between New York and Los Angeles, ROREY discovered music at an early age. She picked up the guitar at six, wrote her first song at ten, and later taught herself piano. Today, she writes and co-produces everything she releases.
In 2019, ROREY left The New School to pursue music full-time. She returned to Los Angeles and released her debut single, Predictable, in 2021. Since then, she has developed a reputation for candid lyrics, hypnotic hooks, and a sound that refuses to stay inside one genre.
Moreover, ROREY uses her music to confront emotions that people often keep hidden. Her songs explore uncomfortable truths while reminding listeners that they are not alone in facing them.
With I Get It Now, she goes even deeper. The album does not offer easy answers or emotional comfort. Instead, ROREY brings buried feelings into the open and invites listeners to sit with them.
