ROREY has a new single titled “Binary Thinking,” a raw confession she cleverly turned into art. This indie pop single features lush acoustic guitars, expressive bass and memorable melodies. According to the singer:
This chorus is my favorite because, I think we all want to stand on the belief that the other person will regret losing us but, I also wondered if I even mattered enough to be felt as a loss. I wondered a lot if my absence was more of a relief.
This confession unsettles as much as it heals. The song highlights the cyclical thought process. According to the singer, the song was written a year ago, but it’s still as relevant today. Silence is open to interpretation, and the intention behind it doesn’t change the impact.
ROREY is a New York based singer-songwriter and musician. She has received acclaim from OnesToWatch, Zane Lowe, LADYGUNN, Atwood Magazine and more. Her music gets added on popular Spotify editorial playlists like Fresh Finds, Fresh Finds Indie, New Music Daily, New in Pop.

“Temporary Tragedy” is about the cost of self abandonment when you grip intimacy and what it means to choose yourself. The track has a YouTube video chronicling the rumination and spiraling that can follow the end of a relationship. The song is rooted in ROREY’s first queer relationship, but she thinks the message is universal: that love isn’t always enough to ridge the gap between hope and reality, when the other person can’t meet you there.
On the other hand, “Dying Fire” sits between love and impossibility. The song doesn’t blame or excuse, it simply accepts what once was can never be again.
Lastly, “Sudden Death” admits defeat before the game ever begins because of lost feelings for a person.
All singles (as well as “Binary Thinking”) will be included in her highly anticipated forthcoming album I Get It Now. All songs are truths you’re afraid to speak and remind you that you’re not alone in feeling them.
