Hayden Ryann turns heartbreak into strength on “Walk Through Fire,” a fiery country-pop anthem about reclaiming confidence and choosing yourself.

Toronto country-pop artist Hayden Ryann channels the aftermath of heartbreak into “Walk Through Fire,” a bold anthem about reclaiming your confidence and choosing yourself. The track pairs gritty guitar riffs with fearless lyrics and a driving country-pop sound.

Rather than focus on the breakup itself, Ryann explores what happens after the pain fades. She captures the moment when clarity replaces confusion. She also embraces the realization that walking away can become an act of self-respect.

Ryann wrote the song after recognizing that she had finally moved past a difficult relationship. Instead of making excuses for someone else’s actions, she confronted what happened and decided she deserved better.

The song came together almost effortlessly. Ryann sat on the basement couch where she usually writes and began experimenting with melodies. A guitar riff soon caught her attention. Within minutes, she had written the lyrics.

Remarkably, she never changed them. Ryann explains:

It was almost like a ‘word vomit’ session where I wasn’t trying to write something polished or intentional, I was just being honest. Every word that came out in that moment is still exactly what ended up in the final version.

That unfiltered approach became the song’s greatest strength. Ryann later brought “Walk Through Fire” to producer Shawn Moore, whom she first met through Instagram.

After an introductory phone call, Moore asked Ryann to send him some of her strongest material. She sent the first voice memo she had recorded for “Walk Through Fire.”

“Almost immediately, he responded and said, ‘That’s the song we have to do,’” Ryann recalls. His immediate reaction strengthened her confidence in the track. It also convinced her that the song could become something bigger.

From Breaking Down to Standing Tall

Ryann and Moore built the production around the song’s raw energy. They leaned into gritty guitars, organic instrumentation, and a confident vocal delivery. Together, they created a sound that feels powerful without losing the honesty behind the lyrics.

Furthermore, the pair avoided simply following current country trends. Instead, they focused on making the production serve the song. The driving guitars give the track its edge, while its emotional core keeps the message grounded.

For Ryann, “Walk Through Fire” represents much more than a breakup anthem. It marks the point where heartbreak stops controlling the narrative.

“The song isn’t about heartbreak. It’s about the moment after. The shift from breaking down to standing up,” Ryann explains.

That shift defines the track. Ryann turns pain into clarity and disappointment into determination. She refuses to settle for less and embraces the courage required to leave.

“Walk Through Fire” celebrates the moment you choose yourself. Sometimes, moving forward means walking straight through the flames—and coming out stronger on the other side.

Turn up the volume and walk through the fire with Hayden Ryann—listen to “Walk Through Fire” and embrace the power of choosing yourself.
