Judy Whitmore releases This Is Home to honor America’s 250th birthday.
Acclaimed vocalist, best-selling author, and theater producer Judy Whitmore releases her new single and video “The House I Live In,” part of her latest EP This Is Home. The record celebrates America’s 250th birthday, expressing Judy’s love and patriotism for the United States.

Born in New York City, Judy began her singing career in college as a background vocalist for Capitol Records in Hollywood. Later on, moved to Aspen, Colorado, becoming President of American Theater Company and Aspen Playwrights Conference. She also volunteered as a pilot, flying search and rescue missions for Aspen Air Rescue.
Given her expertise in respected fields, Judy’s artistry never faded. She produced musicals like Taking a Chance on Love and Leonard Bernstein’s Wonderful Town. Following this, she authored her first novel Come Fly with Me, which became an Amazon Kindle #1 best-seller.
Eventually, in 2020, she released her debut solo album Can’t We Be Friends, followed by Isn’t It Romantic, Come Fly with Me, Let’s Fall in Love, and her 2025 Christmas album. Now a member of The Recording Academy, Judy continues creating masterpieces, including her new EP This Is Home.
Six American classics shine in This Is Home
This Is Home features six timeless and heartfelt American classics. It was arranged by seven-time GRAMMY-nominated composer Chris Walden, who has worked with legendary artists and their music. A full 39-piece ensemble orchestra, including many members of the Pacific Jazz Orchestra, contributed to the record. Judy shares,
I love my country. America – what a concept. The first time in modern history a nation was founded on ideals of liberty and self-rule, with citizens who govern themselves—without a king or a state-enforced religion. No wonder it’s called “The Great Experiment.” I come from a patriotic family. Both of my parents were in the United States Army. If you drive by my house on Memorial Day, the Fourth of July, or any other national holiday, you will see the stars and stripes flying proudly over my front door.
Moreover, with her impeccable artistic choices, Judy is a true community leader in the arts. She currently serves on the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors of Pacific Symphony. She is also a member of the Boards of Pacific Jazz Orchestra, Backhaus Dance, and The OC World Affairs Council.
Celebrate timeless artistry in Judy Whitmore’s new EP, This Is Home.
