Pobmek’s mother visits in Love You Teacher episode 6, meets Solar, and learns he is a teacher, sparking conflict over her control of Pobmek’s life choices.
In Love You Teacher episode 6, which aired on April 18, Pobmek tries to keep Sun hidden from his mother, fearing she would not understand. However, things spiral when she discovers he is a teacher, leading to conflict and revealing how she has always restricted his life choices, including his passion for playing the guitar back in high school.

Love You Teacher Episode 6 Recap: Pobmek’s Mother Meets Solar
With Acting Principal Sodchuen pleading for Pobmek to quickly learn to play the guitar again in episode 5, Teacher Jee helps Pobmek practice, but things get tense when his mother suddenly arrives at his apartment while Solar is alone there. Pobmek quickly rushes back, worried, as he has not told his mother that he is dating a man, fearing how she will react.
At the apartment, Pobmek’s mother first assumes Solar is just there for maintenance. However, she becomes surprised when she notices photos of Pobmek and Solar together around the place. At that moment, Solar introduces himself as Pobmek’s boyfriend. Contrary to Pobmek’s fears, his mother warmly accepts him and even hugs him.
Soon enough, Jee and Pobmek arrive, and it turns out Pobmek’s mother does not know he is teaching now and still believes he works as an auditor. He also keeps the fact that the guitar belongs to Jee from her, continuing to lie so as not to disappoint his mother.
Pobmek Tries to Hide Sun From His Mother
Pobmek’s mother talks about his high school days, recalling how he used to play guitar at school. This makes Pobmek uncomfortable, and Solar quickly notices it and comforts him.
Later, Pobmek opens up to Solar and shares his fear about how his mother would react to Solar switching between Solar and Sun, especially since he now works as an elementary teacher. While Solar sees her as kind, Pobmek admits she is the reason he overthinks everything.
Soon after, Pobmek’s mother says she will stay for a few days, so he secretly brings Sun to the school to avoid suspicion. The next day, she tries to visit him at the office, while Jee accompanies her and tries to keep the truth hidden.
At the same time, the kids overhear Pobmek asking Principal Sodchuen to let Sun stay with her for a while. Misunderstanding the situation, they tell Sun that Pobmek wants to get rid of him. Hurt, Sun runs away and returns home, which eventually leads to Pobmek’s mother discovering the truth about him.
Pobmek’s Trauma With Playing Guitar in Love You Teacher Episode 6
Pobmek explains to his mother that he hid Sun out of fear she would not understand Solar’s situation. In response, she says she has changed and tries to accept Sun, but the conversation shifts when Sun reveals that Pobmek is a teacher.
Hearing this, Pobmek’s mother gets angry and demands that he quit teaching. Meanwhile, Sun becomes overwhelmed as the argument triggers memories of his own past. Feeling hurt and misunderstood, Pobmek storms out of the apartment with Sun after saying to his mother, “In the end, you’re kind to everyone except your own son.”
They drive off in frustration, but Pobmek eventually stops when Sun says he is scared. Overcome with emotion, Pobmek turns to the guitar and plays until he breaks down in tears, with his fingertips bleeding. This brings back memories of his younger days performing happily, only for his mother to destroy his guitar in front of everyone, shattering his happiness. Sun comforts him and helps him calm down.
Soon enough, Pobmek remembers Solar’s encouragement about playing guitar and how happy it once made him feel. This leads him to play again. However, just as they begin to celebrate, a car suddenly grazes them.
Pobmek’s Mother Finally Apologizes
The hospital calls Pobmek’s mother, and she rushes in believing he is seriously injured. When she arrives, she sees a bandaged man and immediately regrets everything toward her son, only to realize she has mistaken him for the wrong patient. She breaks down, admitting how she has hurt Pobmek all his life, until Pobmek and Solar finally approach her safe and sound.
Later, they talk things through. Pobmek explains that he needs to play the guitar again, believing it might help Solar recover. At the same time, he asks his mother to be kinder to him about his choices, especially his teaching job and the guitar. He tells her, “It might not be what you want, but it’s what I truly chose for myself.” In response, she apologizes and promises to support him from now on.
After a few days, she sees Pobmek happily teaching his students and finally understands his happiness with the choice he made for himself. She even gifts him a guitar, which he later plays for both her and Solar.
In the end, Solar tells Pobmek that he seems lighter now, saying it feels like he has finally put down the burdens he has been carrying since they met.
